im custom painting my harley (in the sig). i can do it for virtually no money and i enjoy doing it so i figured why not. personally i love the paint thats on it but im gonna paint it to sell it and try to give it some more appeal. after all its only a sportster it needs what ever it can get. i usually have decent ideas when it comes to paint but im lost on this. i dont know if its because its mine and im picky but i dont know what to do. obviously flames would appeal to a buyer but everyone does flames. at the same time im doing it at school and im already in the process of building a roll cage, gear swap, clutch swap, and two sets of heads to port in four weeks of time so im limited on how much time i have to work on paint and not get to detailed. throw out some ideas if you got them.

i just noticed after reading this again, in 90% of my post i ramble on horribly. maybe in the past 5 years the reason i never posted an excessive amount is because i suck at making sentences.

you know actually i would really like to bring it out one night, but im in PA right now finishing my last 2 1/2 months at wyotech. i will be back at the end of june. the other problem is that it is not mine and like i said the whole car has only 2500 miles on it so it doesnt get driven alot. but i can almost guarantee that we will make it out sometime this summer with it. i just dont know how he will be on wanting to really beat the shit out of it, especially because i would have to drive. he really just doesnt have experience and cant drive it. but all in all i would love to get it out there and line up with some certain people. i feel retarded talking about it and stuff though because its not mine. im not the kind of person who feels bad ass or they accomplished something by taking someone elses shit just to race and feel somewhat glorious about it.

that sucks, but is cool at the same time. we ran a 73 big block camaro on the dyno tonight and the son of a bitch hopped of the rollers and had to stop because the dyno couldnt hold it anymore.

state farm also with 1 reckless op, 2 speeding tickets, and a failure to brake violation and none are on my record. ive been with state farm since i was 15 when i got my permit and ever since anything that happens on my record my agent says well we just wont worry about that. i get -150$ a month for good driving record.

i dont really like trying to weld structural metal with 110 because the amount of time you gotta be on the weld. i like to get in and get out with as little heat as possible. but for sheet metal and smaller metal it would be great. but i understand money is an issue and it can be done depending on how thick but i wouldnt recomend you welding anything structural in your car with little to no experience with a 110.

oh it was. ive never been in a modded car that drove like it was made that way, and the tuning was so great it was perfect.

i was meaning vortec head swap. sorry for not being clear enough. the motor has distributer, carb, water pump, and flexplate. the trans is already going to be swaped out for a th400, the rear is being swaped for a moser, and i have mentioned the cooling system. the drive shaft im not sure about yet because it has a carrier bearing. can you get beefy driveshaft that still used the carrier bearing? and lastly it is getting an electric fuel pump. i havent thought about the motor mounts though. you dont think they will hold? should i make my own? and it is 2 wheel drive.

a couple months ago i got a nasty virus. yes it is from porn. but its really anoying with putting spysherrif program on that pops up every 25 seconds in the middle of me doing shit. it covers my background picture on my desktop and i cant get rid of that and it will mess with the windows update and every two times im on my computer it will come up with the thing that says your computer has been updated restart now or wait and if your not around it it will restart on your own. i can even take a shower. how can i remove this shit without getting rid of all my good information. my virus protection cant remove it or quarintine it. it says i have like 47 trojan virus's.

I have recently had the chance to drive the shit out of one of the sweetest ls1s ive ever seen. it is my buddys fathers car. he got the car two years ago for a very good deal with 600 miles on in and had a lot less money invested then it was worth so he said what the hell ill send it to slp. it was originally supposed to get the $18,000 585 horse 426 package but something went wrong so they gave him the $25,000 427 package for the same price. yes i believe it is a lot of money but the whole car has 2500 miles on it not a scratch on it or a mark in the leather and it looks and sounds totally stock except for strut tower bar, headers, big brakes, and boyd smoothies now. ignition and everything look stock. yet i trounced it in third and blew the tires off. i believe it has drag radials. yet the sweetest thing was cruising in fifth gear at 55 you could jump on it and it pulled like your average 12 second car would pull in second gear. i cant stop thinking about it thought i would share. sorry so long. http://www.slponline.com/custcar.asp?ID=20030922-001&ST=5

im working on a buddys 72 suburban and started yesterday on doing a vortec head top end sway and an ass load of new bolt on parts. well i got the intake off last night and he saw that there were patties of oil and dirt underneath. he just bought the truck and was told it was a 40,000 mile crate 350. this thing looks really ragged. so today he told me that we are going to pull the small block out and tomorow he is ordering a next day delivered zz572 from jegs. this bastard has way too much money i cant even start to list his shit but im very honored to be the one guy out of everyone at school that he would have work on his shit. he doesnt know much about mechanical stuff yet. my main point is when that 572 gets here tomorow and i start messing with a 13,000 dollar motor i want to make sure everything is right. id like some reminders of some of the things that i will need to change. i dont know everything im sure and i dont want to forget anything. the turbo 350 is goint to be sent out tomorow to be built. and on a side note i experienced something new tonight and that is i learned you can drop an engine out of the bottom of a surburban, and i dont mean drop the cross member. i said my buddy was not mechanically inclined so much yet well i had some other guys come give me a hand with the tranny and block. my buddy thought at somepoint i said unbolt the motor mounts. i didnt and i went to unbolt the tranny and slowy lower it to the ground and bam the damn motor falls 3 inches from a friend face and then we just slid it out from under the truck, no hoist needed. it was definatly scary and probly much more meaningfull to me but i had to share it anyways.

really, ive never really looked or had a reason to pay attention before but maybe they just dont get enough bussiness

i could get it done for free in a couple of weeks the only thing is you would have to wait till i come home and then wait another week for me to get back home.

yeah i could look in the phonebook but i hope to hear more than just a address and phone number, anyways im looking for some local automotive fabrication or custom shops. im interested because im getting ready to graduate and im not 100% sure whether i would like to look for a job in fab/custom work or body work or painting. i know what stuff i like better but im also concerned with money. id like to know how much work and just how busy some of the shops in this area are. and maybe how reputable and what kind of work they do. Of course i dont know it all ive learned a lot and want to continue learning and continue getting experience in both fields. in fact ive learned a lot more than i thought or anyone told me i would as in using a mill to building a roll cage, narrowing rear ends, mustang II suspension, or to just building you own tubing bender or jig a joint. there is just so much when it comes to fabrication that its hard to just know everything and i want to expand on what i already know, and have more experience doing it. at the same time im not sure the money will be there.

you know this is the stuff that pisses me off. not saying this definatly applys to this situation but the kids who think that they should just be able to have things handed to them and not have to work for it. at 14,15,16,17 you are starting at the bottom. that means you start at a bottom end job with bottom end pay. you work to get where you want to go and you work for more damn money. there are plenty of college kids WORKING to get an education so they can get a good job and they are 21 years old working at a restaraunt. im now 21 and ive had a good amount of work experience behind me in different trades and im still working damn hard to get a good paying job doing something i want to do. this means shut the fuck up go to mcdonald or a similiar place get a job and find out what it means to be an employee and work for something. when you have done this for a while and learn what it takes to put work and responsibilities in front of the going to the damn movies, then try to find a job somewhere you would like to go. if you would of asked just two weeks ago i would of done them for free if you just bought the powder but im no longer in that building. but if you can wait about 2 months i can get them done for free by someone else
