  1. i think it is 5x4.75 whatever thirdgen camaros are. i can try to find out to be sure.
  2. V8KILR just wondering he was like best friends with my step father for a lot of years from what i understand.
  3. Id love an ss and there is very nice one down the road from me for sale, but I would not want to drive it and put miles on it in an everyday fasion, I would want to mod it and I already have one camaro Im trying to put more money into. It is just not practical. Plus I want warranty. I will drive it and pay for it until waranty is up then buy another car.
  4. I am kind of hoping that some of your opinions could maybe steer me in the right direction. Right now for me money is not what it should be for me but within the next three to four months I will be 100% debt free aside from my truck payment. I have considered selling my truck but that is another decision becuase I know what I would get in its place if I do. My problem is that I need another vehicle. I need something that I will like but not like too much to the point that I dont want to drive it and put miles on it like everything else I buy. I am looking to go back to school at OSU and will need something with lower miles, under warranty, and decent on gas. My problem is that I will never be happy with a honda or just some car. I have been tossing up the idea of an evo or an sti. I am not really into the tuners too much but I have riden in both and like the all wheel drive, the brakes, and the power is all right. I know it will be fun and nice. I have no desire to mod one only to drive everyday and I have found some with 40K miles for around 21-22k which is my price range. I just cant think of anything else I would want that would be good for me everyday and reliable that im going to enjoy.
  5. yeah i can take paypal. id like to just meet someone to deliver and not worry about shipping across columbus or anything though. Not that this is your intentions I just wanted to get that out there. Some people would rathar not drive 20 miles.
  6. Took these off of my thirdgen camaro they are two front 15x8s with bfgoodrich radial TA's 235s. and 2 15x10s with 295 radial TA's. back tires stick out a little bit on my car but i am going to 17s. one back tire has a gash in the edge of the tread but does not effect performance or wear, only cosmetic. wheels and tires have less than 100 miles on them.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/316074/1. I dont remember the exact measurements of backspacing or anything.$600
  7. when i can afford a duramax. Actually some 70 year old man recently offered me 20K for it and im considering once i fix it. My trucks nada value is around 19K considering The lift, wheels, tires, and other add ons dont help the value to them but it means something to me.
  8. i have a set of one year old switch special X bindings with Vans 11.5 boots. For those who have no idea what they are they are step in bindings, no straps. First 75$ takes it all.
  9. congrats! I heard from someone that they have a pickup window there now durring certain hours. Either way you dont have to go far for your parts anymore. And they are cheaper.
  10. thats a bad day for him, if someone was chasing you and you were scared why would you leave a busy downtown area where some punk ass kids will not do anything and end up in a housing development. kids are stupid im glad I never was one.
  11. I got a big truck but i use it. I haul with it, tow with it, and dont do anything crazy but like to get it muddy from time to time. when it runs at least.
  12. that doctor scott gillis sounds familiar. Did he used to practice in whitehall area?
  13. i have also been a member of lifestyle for about 5 years and now attend the new one at hilliard which is tits. The sawmill is alright but I love the hilliard location. It is more like a golf club everything is so nice. And the view is wonderfull if you know what I mean.
  14. I have a 24valve and i love it. I am a diesel mechanic but so far I only have limited experience with anything other than an n-14 out of tractor trailors. I am just learning about the 24 valve fuel system as I am having issues with mine. If you are looking at the pre 98.5 they are 12 valve and dont have as nice of interior. The twelve valve has a builit proof fuel system but takes more to make power. My 24 valver has small amount of mods and it is the world of difference. I have an auto with a fresh rebuild but it held up to all of my 775ft of torque, and continues to hold after my rebuild. If I add my injectors I know my tranny is gone and they are expensive to build. You did say you wanted a manual which the only weak link will be the clutch. I have heard the manuals arent as quick just due to the fact that the tranny wont let you shift but so fast. If you look into a 24 valve just be ready to dump about 1800 at any point into the fuel system. The lift pump and IP are the weak link. My stock Injection pump lasted for 185,000 miles on it and an aftermarket was added along with my edge box. It has been less than a year and I have 195K on it now and more problems with the fuel system. Great trucks imo but if i could make the payment with everything else I want I would choose the dirtymax. The power exceeds any cummins mod for mod and the technology is there. Dont get me wrong you cant go wrong with a cummins as they are already proven but I am a die hard chevy guy and want one.
  15. yes experience is the number one key but going to school give you more of a basis to start on and generally offers a little more money starting out. plus opens a lot more doors from the get go.
  16. I went to wyotech in penn and it was the best 9 months of my life. I took collision/refinishing+ custom painting and also high performance engine building and chassis fabrication. The best part was all the welding. I can mig 110 and 220 on sheet metal, 1/4 inch thick metal, aluminum you name it. My favorite is the tig welding. I fabricated and tig welded a roll cage in my brothers firebird while I was there and ported a few sets of heads. And have assisted a number of motor builds. I dont like working on your everyday cars, actually I hate them. I mainly like the older stuff but also like working on newer high performance vehicles. I also agree that working on cars everyday sucks. I mean I like it but consider that when you get home at night the last thing you want to do is work on your own vehicles and it takes some amount of fun when it comes to weekend wrenching. I work on tractor trailors as a diesel mechanic and love it but also hate it. Lastly I am a strong follower of strap on. Yes they are well overpriced but I take pride in my tools and also need that little extra strength in my field. About 95% of my tools are snappy the other 5 is craftsman, matco, and mac. When you start out DO NOT try to buy everything at once. especially if you are financing. It takes mechanics years to aquire the tools that they have so take your time but remember that tools are part of the job so be prepared to fork over the dough. I have spent well over 10,000$ in tools this year including the $4,000 box and that sucks when you look back on it. anyone with that has any questions about wyotech feel free to pm me.
  17. my family doctor also has the skills to crack my back and my neck and you know the same stuff a chiro does, he does my whole family.
  18. checked into mine and the womans hotel which was the Renaissance on third street. Then went to the lodge bar and watched accoustica play while getting hammered. And returned to the hotel. the band was great, the hotel was awsome except that being a four star hotel on top of the room it cost 22 dollars plus tip to have my car parked in the garage which is all valet so it was nice. and I havent been that drunk in a long time and I never got sick or hung over. The worst part is I didnt get laid because the woman past out in .34 seconds of being in the room.
  19. ill look at the wire. I thought that there might have been some air in the lines before the fuel started coming out but Im not 100% sure.
  20. you think it would work it i turned the box off. yes it is tapped
  21. when do you need the tools by. i was supposed to get the other back from snappy this friday from rebuild but he said it wasnt done. Just wondering how soon. I guess if If I dont get it back I could let you use my other gun on my days off if it will only take you a couple days. let me know
  22. it died on my while driving and wont start back up. that really sums it up but i have a brand new like 6 month old injection pump which i know with these trucks they can be junk in two weeks. When my truck died I was full throttle at a little more than free way speeds and I let off the throttle 100% all at once, as soon as I did it died. There were a lot of people including myself that was thinking I had air trapped in the pump from backing out of it to fast, which happens with these fuel sytems. I have since hooked it to a scanner I use at work and had the codes at the bottom. After I cleared the codes I bled the air out of 3 of the easy to reach injector lines which is supposed to be enough. The truck still didnt even try to start it just cranked. the first three times I tried to turn it over the check engine light came on while I was cranking and went out as soon as I quit. After that it never came back on. I know that when you injection pump goes it can still push fuel out of the lines when you cycle the key but the electronics can be toast. But I also know of a couple freak accidents where the ecm has died and done the same thing. This is where Im at. P0237 Map Sensor Voltage Too Low. MAP sensor voltage input below the minimum acceptable voltage. P0382 Intake Air Heater Relay #2 Control Circuit. Problem detected in #2 air heater solenoid/relay circuit (not heater element) P1689 No Communication Between ECM and Injection Pump Module. Data link circuit failure between ECM and fuel injection pump. Low power, engine derated, or engine stops.
  23. some of you might now but my trucks been broken for about a month. ive done numerous things to it but someone from one of my diesel truck forums who is very experienced with the fuel sytem suggested that the only thing left that i can do is use some type of bds scanner (im figuring a dealer type) to detect whether it is the injection pump or the ecm that is the one not comunicating with the other. if someone can help me go from here it would be nice. i leave for basic training in one month and i would definatly like to have my truck running before i leave.
  24. i helped my buddy buy a bike there after working out a non related outside personal deal with the owner and it was a decent bike at a kind of decent price but they would not let him take the bike for a test drive and gave him bullshit reasons but he still bought it thinking that the owner wasnt going to screw him and we later found out when unloading it from the truck that the reason they wouldnt let him test ride it was because it wouldnt shift into second gear. we went back to adress the issue and people were test driving bikes in the parking lot. and the owner said sorry about your luck.
