I have had nothing but bad experiance with the gun counter there. Went with my Dad last year to purchase him a new black powder, the idiots did not even know how to turn the breach 1/4 turn on the Bone collector to remove and clean. The guy was such an ass that he would not even hand us the gun and in turn stripped it out while we were standing there... Then he proceeds to tell us it is no big deal and he can take $20 off if we were to purchase! this is a $600 rifle that is now stripped and he is still going to sell as nothing is really wrong.

what he is really trying to say is, Chevy's are not worth anything so its no big deal to run them into shit, but you have a really nice truck so he understands why you would not want to smash it into banks of snow!!

I am going back down to Wayne Friday night November 11th and camping to Saturday morning...I am going to ride all day Saturday then probably head home Saturday night depending on how cold it is. If anyone would like to join let me know and we can meet up. Goal this time would be to put some gas down at Dorr Run locked in a truck, Ride to Dorr fill up, ride around Dora then fill back up again and head to camp. Should be a good ride. Tim and I made it from camp to Dora last time but had to head back because of gas. Not this time!!

Buy a 30-06 700 mountain rifle, put a leupold on it and be done. Depending on scope you may be a little more than $700 but you will be happy. If you are hunting thick woods and you guys do some drives then you can also go with the underneath see through sites and have both iron sites and scope but then you might want to look at the Remington 7400 which is a semi auto...they dont make too many 700's with sites, at least i dont think they do?

Tag in online is pretty easy, I did it two Saturdays ago and i took me maybe 5 min. You can also just print your land owner tag online if you are going that route. IMO it was much easier than having to go to Gander or somewhere else. 8 min is a lot less time than it would take to drive to store and check unless you happen to live next to one or there is one on your way home.
