Not sure why people think the R8 V10 is going to do well. They really aren't that fast of a car. Especially in 6MT Form. 3700lb+ Cars with 520 "high strung" HP. Low 12/ high 11 with a 6mt and most drivers. MEH. They response well to tunes for an N/A car as they are artificially neutered by Audi to keep it off the Gallardo's tail. You can gain 50+hp with just a tune on them.

Couple years ago, I got a lb of unroasted Kopi as a gift. Even a non-coffee person can taste the difference. Such low acid, it was a pleasure to drink, was very sad when it ran out.

Oversea's you'd be surprised how you can option vehicles... Weird stuff we considering standard is all Ala Cart to keep base prices down. The size of cars is also funny, the rental place told us they were all out of small cars, and gave me the 116d. (Small car is a mb a series / smart car size). After driving through some of the smaller villages in france we came across, it was barely able to fit with the 116, so It made sense. Really makes you appreciate where you live, like you said.

I have this conversation all the time. You want a forecast for what happens when gas reaches unobtainium heights of $8 a gallon or more? Look to europe. 55%+ of cars are diesel, and quite frankly, I love them. Next daily is definitely going to be a diesel. GF just got a new Jetta TDI, getting 550miles+ to a small tank is nice.

I had a BMW 116d 6mt while we were in Spain/France. Drove all day and used less than a 1/2 tank. around 55mpg average IIRC. Really wish we could get some of these cars here. http://i.imgur.com/iUBS0Bj.jpg
