  1. So which parts are you commuting through, I thought I was hitting the worst parts of Cleveland (Miles and Harvard from E147 to E93 or Union from Kinsman to Broadway) I either bicycle or motorbike to work nearly everyday and the employer is headquartered in California so ofcourse a silly anti-gun policy. Craig
  2. Way back in the day my family used one of those for vacations. Cramped compared to a motorhome but doable and should be less expensive with much less maintenance. I agree on 3/4 ton 8ft bed truck recommendation. We started with a 3/4 ton pickup then upgraded to a "Camper Special" which had 1 ton springs with built in tie downs for the camper that made it much more stable. However you fuel economy will stuck with one of these in the bed. That setup got about the same economy as the 26' motorhome we later owned. Now all of this is based on the unit my family owned 25-30 years ago. The trucks and campers were all well used before we owned them also. Craig
  3. Yes they do . . . . . . . I can carry about a case on mine. Craig
  4. OK you are nearly my size and while it does look like a toy, it doesn't look you stole it from a kindergartner . Now I need to justify the expense. Craig
  5. In many cases true, but there is a little big for the bike and adult riding a toddlers bike big. Craig
  6. How tiny is an XR100? I'm guessing I'm (6'2" 220#) going to look pretty funny playing around off road on one. Craig
  7. I thought I said that already? And this only applies to Ohio. Other states have different rules. And it appears that Ohio used to have different rules in the recent past. All very confusing Craig
  8. Doing the test on a 50cc scooter should be a cinch. Only problem will be getting up to speed for the quick stop test So pass the test on a scoot and your safe to ride a Busa tomorrow right Craig
  9. I agree with you there. I've seen a Strom loose all its oil just due to a good rock hitting the oil filter on a gravel road. Luckily there are some aftermarket bash plates and engine guards available from several companies, and it looks like the new one has some factory options available. I still need to get something for mine. I know it only a matter of time before a big rock spills my oil. Last oil change the filter was pretty banged up Craig
  10. Here is what I found from the motorcycle Ohio website Moped information Motor scooter information including this paragraph The under 50cc only refers to moped which must have pedals. Craig
  11. Poor taste by the local Republican party. Whatever the money raised that kind of thing gets much more negative attention than positive. As far as the comments, I didn't read them because people are idiots Craig
  12. Thats embarassing I had read the rules on mopeds but not the definition of a moped. I wonder how places on Put-in-Bay get away with renting scooters to just about anyone. Also these rules may not apply to other states. Craig
  13. I don't believe you can take the test on a 50cc bike. In Ohio those do not require an endorsement. Craig -edit- this is incorrect. A 50cc and smaller MOPED(pedal assist) does not require a motorcycle endorsement in Ohio but a SCOOTER does. Thanks for correcting me conn-e-rot. -edit2- Given the correction above it appears that you CAN take the riding skills test with a licensed 50cc motorscooter.
  14. I was un available during the draft but got on now. I guess my draft is OK but why in the world did I pick up Chad Henne puke Craig
  15. Yes I can get on, The "Live Draft" starts 45 min before the draft start. So you can't change rankings any more. Trying to set up the Yahoo Fantasy app but I logged in using my Google account. So trying to work through that issue. The app does not appear to do the draft any way so its really no big deal. Craig
  16. I'm ready to register but won't be available to draft tonight. Is there any option for a delay or an absentee draft? Craig
  17. I have no real aesthetic sense so it more about how the bike functions. The current light function very well and the new one doesn't appear to change that much. Currently the aerodynamics are decent for protection but poor for buffeting. The new one definitely changes that but I will have to test to see if it improves. I definitely like the new Vstrom but don't see any reason to pay new bike prices to replace my `04 yet. I don't even have 20k on it yet (bought it this year with 14k) so it will be a while before I need to replace. Craig
  18. If you want to improve your chances try walking in to a class when the weekend weather prediction is poor. Thats sure to drive up the no shows. You can always let your permit expire and get a new one when you are ready to ride. It only takes a few minutes for the test and another $25+-. Sorry for your mishap. Good luck with your riding. Craig
  19. I've dropped my Vstrom twice a low speed. Once when the engine was cold and it stalled as I went to pull out of a parking lot. I call that a stupid newbie mistake. The second time was decending a muddy rutted "road" where the front end slipped out from under me. That one pinned my foot between the bike and muddy bank until someone could give me a hand. I don't think that should count Craig
  20. Mike is a total d**k on the show. And delusional, I can't believe no one noticed how off he was on his stats. However I don't think they should give the results to the contestants during the show. It allows for interesting politicking and for to complain about the d**ks I really thought the elimination challenge was cool. That would be a cool contraption to build. Craig
  21. Nope not a re-use, used in a different tag game. It all good even if a reuse If you want to see a usually fast paced tag game check out the Farnsey (Ohio) tag game at advrider. I've seen them get 3 tags in the same day on multiple different occasions. On a nice day if you don't post from a smart phone you will likely be bruced (that thread originated the term) by someone else. Urban riding can be fun. Especially at off hours. Interesting noone was on Marginal Rd. at that time in the morning but cross RT2 into downtown and it is bumper to bumper. I then came down Independence Rd. through the steel yards and got to see some heavy equipment at play. Coming the other way was a front loader that could have easily swallowed a car, with bigger vehicles in the yards. Craig
  22. Up next See if you can find this abandoned building Craig
  23. TAG USS Cod, North Marginal Rd., Cleveland I couldn't pass this up again. The ADVrider NEO tag was in this location about a week ago and the ADVrider North American Wildcard Tag was a submarine a couple days ago. I miss both of those, so felt I had to get this tag Craig
