  1. I think he fits right in just fine.
  2. Riding to the H-D Women's Garage Party tonight. It's nice out.
  3. Woo hoo! Guys there are pretty cool. Hope to see you in the store eventually.

  4. Gotta take advantage of that flat, square rear seat. This bag might work well also. Expensive bastard, though. I'd go generic. http://www.wolfmanluggage.com/Enduro/alfa_rear_bag.html
  5. Nice. That sounds like it's going to make the riding posture a lot more tolerable on the back. The RVT is one of few Honda rockets I'd want in my dream garage...although a clean CBX would be great humor as well. I'm looking forward to bike nights as well.

  6. Actually, weight distribution wasn't too bad on it; just had to adjust the preload by a click if I was really packing it. I have to admit, the setup looked quite ridiculous but worked very well. The key was keeping the weight balanced on both sides and within bike's load limits.
  7. Simplest solution I can think of is picking up a waterproof stuff bag from Gander Mtn. or a store like that and strapping it down to the back seat with some ROK Straps or bungee cords. I've done that setup on the FJR for my extra rain stuff for the long trips. Worked for the SV too.
  8. I had a Nelson-Rigg Silver Streak setup with the deluxe saddlebags and a seat bag all connected together (they're still a current model). The top case is a Givi E46 (second to the largest). Never tried touring with it two-up; however, I could envision it being a problem because the saddlebags just gave me enough clearance for my legs only. Aerostitch sells waterproof, low-profile saddle bags made by Ortlieb. It's shown mounted on a late-model Kawi-something but it might work; leg clearance may still be an issue, though. http://www.aerostich.com/ortlieb-low-profile-dry-bag-saddlebag.html

I bought the f-ing cookies...kept the arsonists away for another year!
  10. Very nice. I'd stare at your bike all day. Makes me miss my '05 Yellow Naked SV...brings back lots of memories. Some of the same mods too; bar end mirrors and tank cover. Would've been nice to keep it for track/fun stuff and put some performance upgrades on it. The Yoshi pipe looks so much better than the stock cannon piece. Yellow was definitely one of the best colors for the SV. Here's a pic of the old kid.
  11. How you doing? Dang Meijer got me this Friday too, so no fish and fellow riders. :(

Any word on Iron Pony? I went for it and I'm starting on the sales floor on the 26th. Finally glad to be leaving that other place. :)

  12. Hey! Just saying hi. Any interesting adventures on the new ride?

  13. Great fish last week! Alas, I'm working this Friday night. Hope for another Friday to putt on down there.
  14. With all that nice sunshine, I'm glad lots of us got some riding in. Now to wash all that salt and gunk away...
  15. Heated gloves FTW! Just needed my set of Schampa skinny wear (leggings and compression jersey) under my Aerostitch gear for the rest of me and I was gold all week. Did about 450 or so miles combined since last Monday. Hell, it was 55°F today so I didn't have to plug the gloves in! Have to agree, cold roads suck and it does feel very weird on the ground when making turns; I took those very gingerly.
  16. Wonderful day to ride indeed! That RC51 is a sweet bike, and it sounds like you had a blast. Had the FJR out today for the 7th day straight...please let this warming trend continue!
