  1. Sheepskin seat pads FTW! Although AirHawks look comfy...
  2. Depending on the camera, I'd set it up to "video out" to TV on the camera and then plug the camera's AV cable into the "video in" of the TV. If I need to record the session I'm taping, I'd put a DVD recorder or VCR in between (video out from camera-video in recorder-video out recorder-video in TV). Quite a few cords but it works.
  3. Ran a videography business for ten years in CA. Hope to get into it again here in OH but have to get new cameras. What's the question?
  4. Haven't had any issues with gas. Shell, BP, and Speedway are close by home so those get more attention. I've also used Chevron, Costco, Meijer, Marathon, etc. Only problems I get are when I'm in the Dakotas or those middle states filling up with 15% ethanol blend crap. It's not so bad because I have fuel injection, but I do see my MPGs go plunk and I have to rev higher to keep it from coughing and/or stalling. Just been lucky that my FJR thrives on regular gas. Much nicer on the wallet on those cross-country trips.
  5. Zion H-D in Washington, UT. Funny enough, that was one of my stops on my last cross-country trip before I moved here to OH. Just stopped on by to take a break before heading another hour and a half to Salina, UT. They're actually nice guys out there, and I was lucky to have come across a Bikers for Christ BBQ so I got a free dinner. There's a oil cap badge on my bike from that place. If you're headed to Zion, it's right at the gateway.
  6. And of course Canada gets versions of these bikes we'll never see across the border. FZ1 with FJR bags. MT-01
  7. Glad to help out. See you in the store again sometime.
  8. Nice to see you at IP today. What was the verdict on the gloves? :)

  9. About 125,000 miles in about six years over five bikes. Hope to get the FJR to the 100k mark by the end of the year...about 16k to go.
  10. And of course my schedule gets tweaked so I'm working on Wednesday...again.
  11. Job hunting sucks. I've found that I've done two things: (1) make a "master" resume that pretty much lists everything I've done and then some and (2) take that resume and trim it to make multiple versions that are more designed for the specific jobs I'm applying for. That method's worked for me. First task is to get (1) to where you like it. I can help too if you're still looking for more eyes and/or opinions.
  12. 2003 Outback 4 cyl. for me. 96,000 miles and still running like a champ. Being in a place with snow has put it to work more in the past five months than it's seen in the last five years. Steering squeaks a little bit; might be some air in the system.
  13. CA transplant as well. This is definitely a different universe.
  14. Still like the XR1200 after testing it in Texas. Only problem I found with it was that I couldn't feel my feet for about ten minutes after getting off of it. In terms of R&D, Harley needs to figure out where else to attach the footpegs...other than directly to the engine case.
  15. I'm a fan of the unique and different bikes. There's something to be said about how different the Z1000 dares to be.
