this is what i've been doing the past month...

Did you put the air filter back on? It might be running lean with the filter off, that happened to me when I was getting my two-stroke scooter running. Otherwise I'd say it's the idle set screw. -
Anyone from Columbus riding to the bike show in Cleveland?
Flying Brick replied to Flying Brick's topic in Daily Ride
It's not that bad with the right stuff. We rode to see a friend in IL when the weather was in the 20's. No big deal, but heated gloves are a must. Tonight was cold night though, a sign near my house read 6*. All the locks on my bike froze. -

The_Silverfox and I are going to ride up there early Saturday morning. Anyone else want to go? -
Biker in Florida Pulled Over for Wearing a Gladiator Helmet
Flying Brick replied to Casper's topic in Daily Ride
I don't consider sun glasses alone to be enough protection either. The cop puller over a guy being a dumbass. Either choose to wear a DOT approved helmet, or wear nothing if the law allows it. I really don't see how this guy thinks he's right. -
Biker in Florida Pulled Over for Wearing a Gladiator Helmet
Flying Brick replied to Casper's topic in Daily Ride
No, they are wrong. That is nothing like a full-face helmet. I would rather not wear a helmet than wear that piece of crap. I bet it would shatter upon any kind of impact sending shards of plastic into his face. The cop made the right call. -
Nice ride. Any plans for it?

Rain, snow, salt, whatever; I'm going.

We have a 2008 Z1000; I love it, but it has some weak spots. The suspension is the part I like the least. It's really comfortable, but I have not been able to adjust the dive out of it under braking. The power and the brakes are amazing though. You can gain some additional power by swapping in ZX-9 cams/double spring valves (and be able to increase the RPM range).

I rode the scooter to work. Just got back about an hour ago.

Lane splitting FTW
-
I think it is $1800.

“The main changes we have decided on are new rules for the MotoGP class. We will have four cylinder engines, 4-stroke of course, with a 1000cc maximum, and the bore of the cylinders will be 81mm. Aw, let them build a 1000cc 2-stroke if they want to. Should be fun to watch though.

I will in about 45 minutes to go to work. But I've been riding the whole month.

+1 Ubuntu 9.10 for me.

Columbus is nice. I like having seasons, but we have wild winters in comparison to the north-east. I lived in New Hampshire/Mass. for 8 years and loved it, except for the winter. Southern California is a nice place to visit, but a crappy place to live. The cost of living, the traffic, taxes (9.25% where I lived) are all why I don't regret leaving, also after 8 years. I do miss being able to lane split legally though.

They make a BMW/H-D version and a standard version, both require tapping into the wiring harness. Your idea should work, I just used the kit for fog lights. What kind of light bar?
-
I've been wanting some fog lights for the Bimmer for a while now, so the_silverfox bought bought me some for my birthday. Just generic ones you can get at Autozone, but the cool part is the switch she got me. The lights turn on and off by holding down the turn signal cancel button for one second. The little LED on the controls turns green when the lights are on.

1986 Honda Aero 50. Added SV650 mirrors, windshield, Givi case rack, re-covered the seat, wired for heated gloves, and of course dirtbike tires. Bring on the snow.

I'm still working on it. I think Ruckus wheels will fit on it, so I'm going to try to find some this spring. Then it will no longer have tires that came off a 6 year olds bicycle.

No way it's over. It's time to ride the scooter equipped with dirt bike tires.
