In the same situation (with someone extreme tailgating as I am passing slower traffic) I generally flick on the right directional and slow down to about 1 MPH slower than the traffic I was passing and wait until I can get back over to the right...behind the line I was passing. Then smile and wave. Safety first.

Sadly the Mille is sans front end, as I am shipping the forks to 35Motorsports, and my new Tuono Factory is still un-licensed as I just picked it up yesterday... Just a garage-day here.

Just out of curiosity: given that ecological/climatic change is but one of many (non-universally accepted, mind you) theories attempting to explain the collapse of the large Mayan urban centers...And looking past the fact that the Mayan calenders are purely mathematical/astronomical with a smattering of Ideology... If it were possible to predict climatic changes that would indeed drastically limit the resources necessary to carry the population, how do you propose to prepare/deal with that over centuries with Classic/Post-Classic Mayan technology? Other than scattering into smaller bands and spreading out to make better use of the resources that are, and surviving as a culture into the 21st century as the Maya have done? Edit: Sorry--I missed the suggestion that they keep reproducing.

Were I feeling contentious I would likely comment that, rather than ignorance and lack of common sense, most of the derision in this thread is critical of the hall monitor attitude of the few who spend their time and energy worrying about what everyone else is doing. Were laws being broken? Perhaps-- depending on interpretations. Maybe the OP et al. should campaign to the State government to enact more specific legislation and stiffer penalties toward those guilty of such perceived recklessness. To each their own. …But, feeling neither the antagonism nor compulsion to go there, I will refrain from making such comments.

Roads are pretty bad out--I was out riding my scooter today, and there was this guy driving a pickup behind me who couldn't even catch up--let alone pass me.

Mille is getting the Sachs shock replaced w/ a Penske, and Öhlins internals upgrade for the Showa forks (35motorsports). New-to-me Tuono Factory will just get bonding time.
