  1. If you are ridding back to Newport, 73 won't get you back. 73 to 32 will, so you might want to check into that a little more.

    Oshp....

Tint tickets are hit or miss when in court. I have been busted for 20% all around. In my little town, it cost me 185dollars. Most cops won't even mess with ticketing it, unless they need to get their count up. Cops are suppose to test the window in question, and list what weather condition it is on the ticket. If it isn't tested, then it can be thrown out, because there is no way to know how dark the tint is. According to the cops I have talked to, that I know, they have to test in at least one way. If there was no test done, then there is no way to prove it is illegal. Also, the windows covered with tint that are looked out of, have to be at 50% at the max in OHIO. That is the drivers window and front passenger. All others windows, can be whatever you want. Have never had a cop say anything about a rear window, so I don't know what to say about it. The front window, at least around here, can be as dark as you want, but no more than 6" down the window. These tickets are like exhaust tickets. They don't carry a DB meeter, so they go by what they think is "to loud" which the court usually throws out, depending on the car around here. I have been pulled over several times for exhaust, window tint, and audio. Every time I have to laugh. When a cop walks up to the car, ask for your license and etc... says he pulled you over for window tint, walks to his car, comes back hands you your stuff and says to make sure you get your exhaust fixed, and keep the radio down, what can you do? Then they ask what is so funny, and you tell him that the exhaust meets all requirements with mufflers(like I said, I live in a little town that doesn't require cats), and the radio is barely turned on, they get a little pissed. I have been pulled over by the same cop 3 times in one night for the same damn thing. How do you explain that? Like I said though, take it for a grain of salt. I live in a small town, and that is how it goes around here.
  3. Go to the local courthouse, and have them look up the VIN to see if there is any liens against it. If it is clear, check and see what they require to get a title. I know some people that have gotten them here with just bill of sales once they come up clean. Some places might require that different things be done. Usually here, as long as it comes back with no liens, or stolen for that matter, if the bill of sale traces back to the original title owner, then they usually make a "replacement" title. If not, then contact the original owner, and have them get a "lost" title.
  4. Any time I ride for a decent distance I listen to music to cancel the wind noise. As long as the music isn't cranked, you can here sirens and other important stuff. I am actually looking into the Oneal Element Fastrack helmet for all of this. Will connect to a blue tooth phone, and eliminates the problem of wires. Listen to music, answer a phone call if need be, and can connect with other helmets up to 40 feet away I believe. It is only D.O.T approved, so if your a snell guy it isn't for you.
  5. I made vote number 666, which put you at 49% of the votes. The chopper is at 44% with 603 votes. It is one of my lucky numbers, so look at vote 666 how ever you want to people.
  6. You get the same result just going to a hardware store and buying a paint pen. I use to do it on my Alstare when I got it, with the Dunlop 207s. Looks good, and lasted almost the whole life of the tire. However, it does start to fade and get dirty when you ride a lot. I done the entire tire though, sidewalls and tread design. Took about an hour a tire to do the whole thing. Looked good until you hit a dirty road, or get caught in the rain. I was going through a lot of tires, so I quit doing it. Doing the tread will also give off colored smoke if you do a burnout. My dad bought me a new set of tires for graduation, so for the senior lap around the school, I decided to melt the tire a little, and had a big yellow cloud fill up the parking lot.
  7. I run the Pilot Roads on my Busa, and get about 5-6000 out of them. Given not many tires that will grip with the bike and still get decent life out of them. It has been the best that I have tried so far. Might try something else in the near future though.
  8. Pretty impressive. I would hate to see what the price tag would be if they produced them though. Takes a lot of time to do mill work. That is by no means easy to "draw" in a drafting program either.
  9. Union Carpenter, even though there hasn't been any work for the past 2 years.
  10. Union Carpenter, even if there hasn't been any work out of my local in 2.5 years.
  11. Check and make sure that quad came with a title in that year. Some you have to take bill of sales to the court house and have a title made. I have had to do it with several Honda quads over the years. Given they were all late 80s-late 90s models, and were all checked to make sure they weren't stolen, and weren't any leans against them. As long as everything checks out, and nothing shows up, they should have no reason not to make a title for you.
  12. I can't follow the rules, to keep the game going, so I can't contribute to it. Kinda hard when the bikes aren't running, and no way to get the picture of it right now. Dog decided my camera was a chew toy in the middle of the night.
  13. The mural with the bikes, is actually the bike club right down the road. It started as a bicycle club in 1903 I believe, and evolved from there. The 4th is a bad time to be down there though. I hate going into town, when everyone is there watching fireworks. Side note on that bridge, it took like 5 years past the finish date to get done, and they actually sunk a crane there building it. I would have this one now, but I don't have anything to contribute to the game after words. There is actually a lot of history in this town. Useless history now, but in the day a lot went on in the little town.
  14. How far south? Portsmouth alright for you? Waverly is about 40 minutes from me.
  15. Welcome. About an hour and a half from me. I can take 73, and get on 32w and drive through Mt. Orab.
  16. Maybe if the guy would have actually used his leathers for what they were meant to do, he probably wouldn't have wrecked. Instead, he rather test out the slide factor of the suit, and the Busa. Jackass...
  17. If you have the money to get the Pilot Powers, then get them. They last a decent amount of time as long as you use most of the tire. They grip great, and better than most in rain if you get caught in it. As far as tires to stay away from, anything with a harder compound, unless you do mainly freeway/highway ridding. Harder compounds and corners are not friends. Shinko is normally a softer tire, but most of the time they are terrible in rain from my information gathering. They are known for drag racing more than street. They would be like a Drag radial on a car.
  18. <That is pretty much the best picture of the bike I have. Never seem to have my camera when I have the bike out. I will see if I can't find any pictures to scan and post up. As for the mustang, it had a 4cylinder in it. Blew the top half of the motor off the engine. Something about my fan breaking and cutting a coolant hose...... Needles to say I have a 302 I can drop in it, or go for the 327 or 347 stroked motor I am wanting to build. Just don't know which I rather do. Haven't decided on blower, or twin turbo either. Any suggestions???I would like to do all electronic as well, but it has been harder than hell to find a 302 harness and ECU around here.
  19. Madness? What madness? Seems to be completely normal in my book.
  20. Two snakes, only have a picture of the smallest one though. The bigger one is a 13foot boa. Boston terrier/chihuahua mix My Older red Doberman that I had to put down this summer. My blood hound, which is meaner than hell if you mess with her and she doesn't know you. My black doberman that is the watch dog. I also have another red doberman that took place of the one I had to put down, but it wouldn't let me load anymore pictures. Side note, I have 7 doberman puppies if anyone is interested. 3 weeks old this Sunday. 2reds a male and female, and 5 blacks 4males and 1 female.
  21. Thanks for the welcome all. Who says a busa won't turn??? Obviously you haven't rode one then. They turn pretty well for as big as they are. Given it isn't going to turn as well as other bikes, but it wasn't exactly made for that. If I am in the mood for a twisty ride, I can always pull out the 600. Aside from being bulky, you can do the same on it that you can on any other bike. Just takes time to get to know the bike.
  22. Live in West Portsmouth. About 2 hours from Columbus doing the speed limit:slap: and about 2 minutes from crossing into KY. I own a 2003 GSX-R Alstare, and a 2004 Hayabusa. If anyone is in my area/close to it let me know. Seems like I am the only one from this area that gets on these sites.
