Damn you. You haven't given me anything bad enough for me to say "don't bother". lol Excursion only. I like that I can sleep in the back "area". I'm leaning more toward the later years, 02-03. Pic added

So I looked into Excursions a while back and stopped, thinking it was not something I would really want, you know just an interest but not practical. Well the "interest" hasn't gone away and I have found myself looking into them again and again. It's been about a year, so now it's time to decide or stop wasting my time with looking. Purpose: This will be a toy hauler, Snowboard rig. Looking to do light mods and a 4" lift. This thing will also be my all out bug out rig. Red Dawn, Zombies, or rush to Vermont with supplies when we nuke ourselves. So I know I like the room inside them. I have often gone on snowboarding trips with 3+ people. It would be nice to have the room. Not looking to do a lot of off roading, but will want it to be capable to. Ok, with that all said, tell me the problems you know on these trucks. I'm on the Power Stroke forum and have been reading. Just looking to see what you guys have to say. I'll post a pic of what I'm thinking I would want my set up to be, once I get off this GOV computer. Thanks for you in put and for reading. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l284/dsnowgod/ZombieRig.jpg

Rossetta Stone is pretty good. The military uses it, if that helps you choose. If I was going to put more effort into learning another language, that's what I would look into. Can't beat hand's on though. So Lowes might be a good option too.

There are some guys from Mansfield flying here at KAF. Any chance you are in with these guys, or will be coming here when they change it up?

I bought a pair of Bates dress shoes, wore them one time, 2 years after buying them. And the sole literally dissolved as I wore them. Hunks of rubber were every where and I was leaving a trail. I left the event after 45 minutes to go buy new shoes.

Customer service has gone to hell these days. So I really wanted to let people know this company had taken care of me well. I'm thinking anyone who wears a boot for work or what ever, these are great. Lawn care, truck driving, Construction, shop work, I really can't think of where they wouldn't work in a labor field.

I have no reason to think they would be of lesser quality or comfort. And the price, I have seen them for $93. We are seeing the Oakley boots are falling apart. If you have a desk job or put little wear on boots, the comfort is there for sure, but the life has been short for being in the field. I know you are not at a desk, so luck you Scotty.

Everyone knows your feet and your rifle are your first priories of care in the military. I've been through A LOT of boots. I resoled them to the ripple tread long ago. In 1994 I bought a pair of Danners that were black and went with the BDU at the time. I still have them and they have held up amazingly and are very light and comfortable. In 2004 in Iraq I was issued a verity of tan boot's that were "ok". Very seldom will I buy equipment outside of what is issued. Because what we get, isn't all that bad. Mostly though, it's because I see a trend in soldiers buying "after market" for fashion reasons and to look or feel cool. That shit has no place in what I feel the military should be. Function over looks is always my position. I just could not get the pair I was wearing to be comfortable. I put it off for months. I was told we were getting new, great boots during our train up before deployment. It never happened. That said, I bought a pair of boots in June. $135 and many try on sessions later; I bought the most comfortable boot I have worn in uniform. Tactical Research is a division of Belleville Boots. They make a boot called the KHYBER 360. It's light weight; wish was a huge issue for me after years of carrying a pack and beating up my joints snowboarding. These things are feather light. I have always bought a separate insole to get boots to fit right in the past. These already have an orthopedic insole in them. It's literally like my foot gets a hug every time I put my boots on. The break in time was less than a day. No blisters either! The climate I have been in has been 95-125 degrees every day since June. You might think there is some serious foot oder at the end of the day. Nope. I can't believe it myself. I mean, my foot should be putting off some tremendous funk. So that tells me my feet are breathing well in the boot, good. But how are they in the wet? Great there too. I spent at least 5 minutes in ankle+ deep water "assisting a soldier" in reminding them to secure their gear. My feet were dry the whole time. I'm not saying they are water proof. I'm saying my feet didn't get wet, that's all. I will wear this boot out of uniform for hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, or just shoveling snow. And now the best BAD news and reason for me make this post. The boot's seam tore in 2 spots within 3 months. Small tears, the size of a dime and a nickel maybe. You have to be pissed at that, right? No, don't be. The boot is guaranteed 12 months for replacement of any flaw except broken boot laces. I was told this when I bought them and now I wanted to put it to the test. I really like the comfort of these boots. So I call Tactical Research up expecting the run around. They told me to email them a picture of the damage, and include my address and size. I said what about the receipt? "If you have it, that's great, but we are shipping you a new pair either way". Ok, so when I get the new ones, do I send the old one's back? "Nope, throw them in the field if you like". So basically I could be scamming the hell out of them and only have to have a picture of a boot with a flaw. No proof of purchase or when I purchased. I had a confirmation email in 36 hours after my email with shipping and tracking numbers. Boots arrived 6 days later and are perfect. That is the way customer service should be. I'm not able to open Bellville's web site to link the boot info from this computer, but these are the boots. http://www.patriotsurplus.com/btr360.html?productid=btr360&channelid=FROOG&utm_source=CSEs&utm_medium=GoogleProducts&utm_campaign=PatriotSurplus

I have a huge unit!!!!! With that said, The one I rent is on 161 right where the National Guard Head Quarters is. It's called Extra Space Storage - W Dublin Granville RD(161), Phone number: (614) 792-3826. I think the owners name is Ryan. He was very helpful and hooked me up with a, 25x10 for $160 a month with 2 free months, every place else was charging about $300 for that size. It's a 2 car garage basically. I was able to get a 1500sqft home full of house hold goods in there. I know I caught some special they were running, but the prices were better than every place I checked, without going to the South East side of Columbus. Groveport has some cheap ones too. Tell him Joe from B170 that is in Afghanistan recommended you

It would be a shame to have you think your sporty, rally car is an easy walk on my 4 door sedan. Mines just a daily driver. Yet, it'll play well with others. :-) Find me a set of 17" wheels for me to mount snowtires on. We can have snow drags.

Well done Yesser. Now keep the RX7 and hve the best of both worlds.

Not sure what dropbox is. But I loss connection all the time and it's slow, so I don't even bother. The best speed I have seen to down load a pic was 3.7MB PS. It took forever. Hell, just to load this page and correct the post above was about 5 min.

Anyone have a way to burn this season to a DVD? I'm dying to watch it and have no option here in Afghanistan. The internet here is too slow to down load it. I could paypal you the $ to buy discs and for shipping. Then you send them out as you can burn them. Any takers?

This morning my 1st SGT came to me and asked me if I had heard about Dan Wheldon. I have not be around TV or and news for a little over a week, so I had no idea what he was wondering for. He said That Dan had died in a crash on Sunday. 3 years ago my 1st SGT and I had a lunch in, met and had our pictures taken with Dan Wheldon. This was at Mid Ohio and we were able to do the 2 seat Indy car experience ride around the track. Absolutely one of the best times I've ever had. At the time, Dan was the driver of the #4 car. The National Guard car. All day this wreck was on my mind. I remembered how sincere he was at the lunch in. He talk about how proud it made him to drive a car for the troops, even being from another country. He said he loved being in the US. He died doing what he loved. I hope we can all be that lucky when our time comes. RIP Dan Wheldon http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l284/dsnowgod/wDanWeldon.jpg

Haven't seen you in quite a while Kurt. I always thought it was pretty awesome that your son, cameron, would be out with you at events and just hanging out. Best wishes to a speedy recovery to him. Hang in there Cam and just get better.

That's a lot of tire smoke.

I read all these rotory engine stabs, and I think to myself, I'm pretty sure Carl, Yasser, Chris(FD), Chris(FC), Kevin, and myself have all had our cars up and running for a few years now. Unless one does a change in a build/set up, I'm pretty sure these have all been running with no blown Apex seals or major issues. Though, I have noticed several posts from V8 owners whos cars are down. It happens. I get it.
-
I'm doing it. Getting more done to both car's, so not sure which on I'll be in yet. Would be a great way to celebrate me getting home and hangin one more time.

Well said. That's one dedicated Devil Dog right there.
