The racer looks nice, but it's an intangible element, just a marketing strategy. Subaru's performance cars have brought no new tech to the table in the U.S. since the original WRX in 2000, and STi back in 2004. Hell, the Jap-spec motor from 10 years ago is still more technologically advanced than the 2014 models. At least they used variable geometry turbos.
I like the Subaru sound, and I WANT to like the prospect of running a Subie for DD/weekend fun. However, I dislike their continually inflating price tags, and with the lack of justifiable tech, why would I buy one?
