  1. Stock body panels would be a good start..
  2. Here are a few of mine from Saturday: Sunday's Event is being uploaded now, and can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/user/RaceMeMZ3
  3. I have only driven the Miata, Z-car, and the S2000, so take my opinions with a grain of salt. With the Mazda or the Honda, you will have to budget about $1000 for a proper roll bar if you want to go racing, and depending on the application, you may lose some DD-friendliness. Much like you, I didn't fit in the S2K worth a damn, so new seat rails, or racing seat would be 100% necessary (and the stupid, non-adjustable steering wheel). Beyond that, both are pretty solid little racers in terms of durability. However, earlier AP1 cars tends to be oil burners at high RPM... The Z is the big girl of the batch, but can fit so much more tire front and rear than the other two that it's pretty easily compensated for. Ideally, you would be looking at 08+ w/ the limited slip diff, because of the beefed up engine and trans, but $15k leaves that just out of budget I think. For any 350/70Z, brake ducting, and various coolers are pretty much necessary to get consistent performance out of it. Go figure, big engine + small engine bay = heat. Also, it was definitely the best car for daily driving, I drove an 08 Touring(?) and the extra torque compared to the S2K/Miata was immense, and it had excellent gears for cruising, and good overall street manners.
  4. Buncha dickheads, that's for sure. :gabe:
  5. What are you trying to do with a stock BMW? Only joking. Welcome, beautiful car. Bring it out to an AutoX or Cars&Coffee.
  6. You trying to play with a 100% bone stock BMW?
  7. I do care, for other members of CR, enough to warn them that this thread is garbage. Keep being angry on the internet, it's a good look.
  8. Couple hundred, and I just banked it, IIRC. Which more than likely meant it was gas money spent roadtripping around in my old Mazda.
  9. Jamiroquai's front man is a white guy... :lolguy:
  10. So far, it's needed nothing replaced. Original HPFP, and turbos. However, after throwing more boost at it, the now 6 year old, 80,000+ miles plugs could do for a swap out. However, that's kind of normal for any car IMO. It's on his "to-do" list, but the car seems to run strong regardless.
  11. The entire run looked super smooth. I thought you had a little burnout at launch, than I realized that you were just slipping the clutch at 7 grand
  12. Anywhere else, that's a ~17k car. My buddy bought his 07 335i w/ 70k miles for $18,000 about a year ago.
  13. Looks like I am unfortunately out for this one. My Mother needs me to drop her off at the airport in the afternoon. Bummer. GL to everyone racing tomorrow!
  14. Due to the notable differences side-to-side, I'm guessing it's not an OEM job. After running my hands over both fenders, the driver's side fender is actually slightly flared out...
  15. Looks like I need to find a Tesla to play with...
  16. Who: Buckeye Miata Club (All makes/models welcome) What: Autocross Where: Ohio Historical Society When: Walk-up registration closes at 9:15am How Much: Non-members = $35 More Info: http://www.buckeyemiataclub.com/BMC_Autocross_Dates.html Noticed that no one had posted about this event. We have had a bit of a gap in the racing season, and I'm sure some people are itching for more seat time.
  17. Wow, that's strong. Got any guesses for ET's, or trap speeds?
  18. Whatever works in terms of achieving your fitness goals, if you like running, then run until you can run no more. If your goal is around 240, how tall are you, like 6'2"+?
  19. I have been searching any forum involving Ohioans and BMW's, but nothing has really panned out. Also, when I bought it, it visibly appeared to be a bone stock car with nothing that would make it stick out from the 1000's of other ordinary BMW's you see on the road.
  20. It's worth a shot. Not like I'm planning on attacking the guy, just want to know if there are things I should be looking out for. Especially if assumption is correct and the car saw a lot of drag racing time (clutch, gears, axles)...
