  1. I've got a pretty good audiophile system 2.1 (bookshelf speakers + sub) and a few of the world's best headphone systems. I like albums that keep your attention, are somewhat cohesive from beginning to end, and are well produced (dynamics, good imaging, etc...). I've found a couple albums that I really enjoy lately, and figured I'd mention these albums, and maybe get some ideas on my next albums to pick up. Oh yeah, I have a CD player (that up samples). Avenged Sevenfold: The Stage I just picked this up and was very impressed. I've seen these guys in concert and it's amazing. Looking forward to getting to another concert based on this album. It was a surprise release, but reviews are very positive, and the theme is artificial intelligence, space, and such. It's 74 minutes, but I think I listened to it 3 times in a row. It really is that good. Following is some others I need to expand on later. Muse: Drones Muse: The 2nd Law Blink 182: California Weezer: The White Album

I woke up, unusually, yesterday around midnight, and tried to first, but it didn't work!
  3. It's crazy how fast tires wear, I had a pirelli start showing threads years ago. A local shop had a set of shinko replacements and nothing else for some reason. I learned how different tires can be, on that trip back. I put a few hundred more miles on them when I got back, and then got a new set of Michelins; night and day difference.
  4. I like the P250 2SUM, get full size (for range accuracy) and a subcompact (for carry), and it's a modular system, so everything can be easily changed.
  5. I actually have years ago multiple times and those hard drives arrived quick, but they had me run through diagnostics that I've already done to confirm that I wasn't just making stuff up, so it was some wasted time, but not too bad.
  6. I ride until they put salt down, so it all depends on when the first salting happens. It's a lot easier to find parking with the motorcycle.
  7. If any Republican other than Trump would have been nominated it would be hard to tell the difference between them. Especially considering the Bush's are voting for Hillary.
  8. Speaking of giant exhausts (I don't mind them too much by the way) I'm really liking the 2017 Hayabusa blue color scheme.
  9. Well National Trail is having a big event this Friday, Saturday, Sunday. I guess we got to go and watch some racing.
  10. In the spring when the new CBR1000RR is released there will be a lot of people shopping for the CBR1000RR; you should have an easy sale. The YouTube advertising videos are populating pretty quickly since the debut. On a side note, the next few years should be interesting in the motorcycle world, maybe they'll update the CB1000R with a higher rev limiter, more horsepower, and lower gearing for even more street performance.

I think part of 129 is in North Carolina, so...
  12. Well, luckily you don't really need to shift with the Fireblade, just leave it in first gear and ride. Hope you have a speedy recovery.
  13. Yeah, actually I go in and get the stuff now a days because there's never a line and the ladies are pretty nice for the most part. I don't blame them for not knowing the difference between operating a vehicle (which is non commercial {and technically doesn't require a license because transportation laws regulate transportation which is a business activity}) and driving (commercial); they are just there for a job.
  14. I think that despite having a shadow gold standard now with some central banks owning some gold, I think we're going to transition back to a regular gold standard where currency is backed by gold at a specific ratio or just use gold as money like the Gold Money Mastercard that transfers gold ownership. Fun fact, Ohio is exempting gold and silver bullion from sales tax on January 1, 2017.
  15. South Park always has hilarious election year analysis.
  16. Despite Lester helping (with questions suited to democratic party tactics such as dividing groups {black vs white, men vs women, etc...} Hillary debate against Trump ( in this first debate), I think it's pretty clear that the debates are only going to clarify how how much better Trump is than Hillary, and actually cement his election victory.
  17. Actually, it turns out that they recently (I just checked) changed my grandfathered unlimited 3G data to 5GB of 3G data, so I guess that's still not too bad for less than $30/month.
  18. I use the republic wireless for $29/month (Including taxes etc{$25 plan without taxes}); I was grandfathered in to the unlimited plan that went away last year. It's just 3G, but it's cheap, and when the phone dies I'll probably go with the $20/month 4G plan because I rarely use more than 1GB.
  19. The NC700X is a perfect first/commuter bike because the impressive fuel mileage, long maintenance intervals, it's solid steel, it has storage, torque from just above idle, suspension fit for jumping curbs and in town shortcuts, light clutch pull, low center of gravity, perfect street gear ratios, and it can be had for about the same price as an fz-07.
  20. Did anyone else search for apex on Netflix and discover Apex: The Story of the Hypercar? It's pretty cool.
  21. Airhawk vote here... I have used the same airhawk on 3 different motorcycles (1125R, NC700X, CB1000R). It really is great, because it's so easy to remove you could use it at the office or even sporting events with hard seats. And for track or more sporty riding it's as easy as removing your seat to remove the Airhawk. Just a little tip is that you need to air it up and then sit on it while just barely letting air out until you barely feel your motorcycle seat, and then close the air valve. At this point just tighten the valve screw and tuck it in the cover. If you feel like you're riding on a shifty bubble you need to let out a little more air. Sometimes on hot days I have to let out some air. I have the cruiser pillion, I think, and it works great for sport touring bikes. Running the fuel tank from full to empty without standing up or shifting around in the seat is all the evidence that you need for when you get the airhawk pressure just right.
