Well, it looks like one problem would solve the other, BUT it would require some sacrifice and other hardships, and as COVID 19 has proven, most in America won't tollerate that. The China problem has been boiling for a while and is now spilling onto the stove. That coutnry is activitly trying to cripple the United States and people here just spread their ass cheeks more and say "yes daddy"

The owner of Leash Electronics posted this on Facebook. Treating COVID like a political football and not taking care of things the right way is going to have consequences for years, I said this from the start. Randy isn't the only one talking about this, there will be a lot of successful businesses that fold due to shortages. Prices have spiked to insane levels in so many industries. Enjoy life while you can, it's going to be taking a turn for the worse in the next 6-10 months. I'm gonna bring to light something. Most people have no idea how bad things are getting in the manufacturing industry. But it's VERY bad. You already hear about auto manufactures having thousands of vehicles setting in fields because they don't have electronic chips for them. This is REAL folks. Everyday I'm running into more and more electronics parts that I can not get. They don't exist on this planet because they can't build the vast amount of electronics components quick enough. These factories where closed down for so long that it will take many years to catch back up. Think of it this way. If you have a company running at 100% capacity and all the sudden it goes to 0% for nearly a year. You can't make that up. If you bumped your capacity up to 125% it would take 4 years just to catch back up and stabilize again. And most of these companies can not go to 125% capacity. Most can not go over 100% because if they could then they would have already been at that capacity before all of this. The math don't add up. We are heading to a major technological crash. Imagine no new cell phones, no new TV's ,no new cars, ect... My business is falling like a rock now because Im loosing products constantly because I cant find parts to build them. I fear that Leash Electronics is going to crumble in the near future along with many other businesses. It's crazy, we went from up in sales 200% last year to down 50% in the last few months. And its steady dropping weekly as I run into new parts that I can't get. It's crazy because the demand it there but the supplies are not.

I wear one to make people feel comfortable even though I've got the mind control shot. It really doesn't bother me to wear one, but clearly, it bothers some people more if I don't, even with the shot, and I don't want to deal with them. I've seen too many public confrontations over masks to want to deal with the crazy people out there.
-
I looked at community support and reviews when I selected my FDM printer. The Ender 3 had the best overall reviews and seemed to have the best support. There are several Facebook groups filled with people who can help you with issues.

Been wearing my mask since the start of this shitshow to protect myself. Is it a PITA, yes, but it also allows me to go about my business without dealing with the legions of mask nut jobs that are looking for a confrontation (seen it first hand). Got the vaccine because I saw the writing on the wall and again, I don't want to deal with the hassle of trying to travel for work without one. Do I agree with forced vaccine shit, no, but there's literally nothing I can do about it. The point is, sometimes you just need to fly under the radar to avoid issues even when you think something isn't right. Be the grey man. People won't like this or agree and I'm fine with that, I can be an adult and have a difference of opinion with people and not melt down over it. I think there are going to be far bigger issues in the future that will need us to raise hell over.

LOL, yeah that's not going to happen anytime soon (long story). Shoot me an e-mail lt1wagner@yahoo.com and we can talk. let me know when you've sent it.

In the same boat. I got out of track home nation for a reason, I wanted away from concentrated pockets of stupid/shittty people. There are so many layers to this onion and there's no simple quick fix type of answer. EVs will become more widespread, but they won't become the main form of transportation in our lifetime. Now, if someone wants to go into business with me to start a shop that does EV swaps let me know. I've got some really good industry contacts that can help kick start the parts side of things that are looking for builders

Thanks to COVID the rental car industry is hurting pretty bad. Most companies sold a lot of their fleet to stay afloat, now demand is up, they have no cars, and they can't get them fast enough. It's impacting my industry because it's crushing our travel budgets so we're not going to as many events now. This is just another part of the second pain wave of COVID and it's only going to get worse.

So, he's just supposed to let her stab the other girl?

Kinda of, but not really. Certain modifications have flown under the "offroad use only" flag for decades and there was no issue. The problem is the EPA has decided to go after the companies that make products rather than the end user since that's where the money is for them and it's easier. Additionally, they're going into full overreach mode and expanding how/what they attack. Do we need to protect the environment, 110% yes. But, things have changed since the Clean Air Act was written, passenger cars don't produce nearly the amount of pollution they used to . Performance vehicles make up such a small percentage of what's on the road it's really overkill to go after them, especially older cars or cars being used for motorsports. But, its the EPA we're talking about, they're not the best at taking the smart approach to things.

You're right, they brought the ultra hot light of the feds on themselves thanks to a few very stupid people. The problem is now the feds are dropping the hammer on the rest of us along with the powersports industry too.
-
They've been after the diesel industry for a while. A lot of shops won't touch diesel tuning anymore, or at least advertise they are. Magazines are pulling articles down about tuning because they're being used against companies in court.
-
No, this is not a headline grab. I work in the industry and the EPA is actively working towards enforcing what's written and expanding the scope based on the vague language. But what do I know I guess...
-
Pretty soon the only way to get headers will be for a shop to custom make a set on the down low for you. So, you'll be looking at a minimum of $1,200 for a set of headers for any vehicle, any year. Even then, they are going to risk having the EPA come down on them.

I know of a shop that got the squeeze put on them by the EPA and it was crazy. The EPA reps flat told them it doesn't matter if the EPA is wrong, they will bankrupt companies because they have the money to do it. That shop has been reaching out to the EPA to try and see if they can come up with a middle ground to prevent the aftermarket industry and racing from being destroyed. The EPA has told them to get fucked, we can do what we want. They are also loading up to go after the powersports market next for land and water. Pretty much anything with an ICE is in their sights for the next 4 years at least. They know slow Joe won't do anything to stop them so they are doubling down. There is a bright side, there are some VERY wealthy people in and around the industry that are loading the war chest and are about to start trying to crack some skulls. You don't come after a company like Holley and not expect there to be consequences.
-
The EPA and their friends are back at it again, going after the small percentage the motorsports market makes up for pollution. Reach out to your elected official and put the pressure on. https://www.sema.org/epa-news?fbclid=IwAR14YjzGvhJHIy-kjzuC3QE7ddO4rAgxa4IBTrYHbPh63G7z_IfR_-YHsvI A lot of companies are already suffering and many are starting to remove products from their line just to avoid dealing with the EPA at this point.

I don't know anybody out that way that fills bottles. You might have to get them filled at Jegs, I would do some googling and calling to see if any shops out there fill them. I would get about 3 quarter mile passes out of a bottle and nitrous was about $6 a pound but I'm sure that cost has gone up since the election. You also need to change plugs every 2 to 3 bottles and run the right heat range plugs.
-
There's a lot more to it than just bolting on a kit. I would go with a Nitrous Outlet plate system, we ran one for years on my car and had zero issues. Outside of that, you'll need to upgrade your fuel pump, fuel injectors, add a hot wire kit for the new pump, and get the car tuned. Racetronix makes fuel system kits for our cars that have everything minus the injectors. They are great to deal with and can get you going in the right direction. https://racetronix.com/ For injectors, you'll want at least 42lb an hour to keep the fuel system fed and happy. Tuning is the most important thing out of all of this, I would suggest going to Dynotune Motorsports. Brian has tuned MANY of these combos. Something else to think about is a progressive nitrous controller, that will help at the track.

I've been at that race and seen cars fly like that, one of the most insane and scary things you'll ever see. Tim is a great guy and his crew is awesome. They got that car fixed, qualified for two classes, and won a round during eliminations.

Do you think the housing market is going to cool off soon?
wagner replied to Johny Utah's topic in Dumpster
They're screwed and the commercial real estate market is next in line for the gang bang. Companies are realizing they don't need tons of office space and people can in fact work from home. All of these wanna-be real estate moguls holding tons of rental properties are fuct -

Looks like we're going to get 1-3 now with maybe some ice.

So, will this storm be the beast for us that the fear mongers are predicting, or will it be a joke? I know my friends in the south have caught all the smoke so far and are in a bad place. Texas is having power issues since the grid can't handle everyone trying to use it at the same time... I've seen everything from 5-12+ inches of snow for us here in the Columbus area. I'm going to park my guess at 5-inches. I cleared off my patio table so I can track it.

Got the printer assembled, that was a task and a half. I still need to level the print bed before I begin test prints.
