Going up to Pacemakers on Saturday for some racing. If anybody wants to go I will be leaving Cars & Coffee and heading to the track. If you want to meet up at Pacemakers here is their site with gate times, directions, and information. http://www.pacemakersdragway.com/ From what I have read they run a tight program and will be done soon enough if you want to get to the Home Depot Failboat that night.

Blankets are to keep stuff off the track, or keep stuff from flying off. You will see them under motors or transmissions to keep fluid off the track. You will also see them on superchargers to keep them from becoming projectiles. To prevent the Lt Dan. outcome you need an SFI approved scattershield or bellhousing. My dad had to add one to the powerglide on his Monza to make it legal for this year.

Guess I should made my point moar clear, jones hit the nail on the head. And tech can prevent some stuff like this happening too. It keeps cars that have shit falling off, stuff missing, or god knows what else off the track. I would be PISSED if some fuckstick with his brokedick car takes me out because it is a pile of trash. Rules are there for a reason, not just for your good, but those you are racing.

If you want to be like Lt. Dan and have no legs, that is your choice. There was a video post here a while back of an F-Body that had a clutch failure and parts of the clutch came through the tunnel, into the dash, out the hood, and tore a chunk off the block. You are lucky with the S-10, a good tech person will catch that stuff. Try to run at a top level track like Norwalk or Milan and they will send you home.

I have never been to that track, how do they run their program? Is it laid back, or run like a national event?

Where is the action at? Trails is racing a bunch of JR Dragsters, so it will sound like an import race. D42 is open, but not sure how good that track is this year. Marion running anything? Looks like Kil Kare is running I know Thompson is running a good show this weekend, but that is a HAUL.
