Well I called Animal Control and they are sending someone to talk with the guy and make him aware of the issue. From talking with them it sounds like they know the address and asked me what dog came after me. I was also told I can "do whatever is needed to defend myself in the street, or my property from attack".

Thanks for the info man, that is along the same thing that Rita said. I don't think it got out from the fence, the garage door was open and he called the dog in from the garage. The backyard of that place looks like a battle field from all the holes those dogs dug. IF that dog big my infant, it would be dead, do not pass go, do not collect $200, dead and made into kung pow chicken.

I waited till I cooled off, nobody answered the door. Some good info in here and sent to me via PM. I think at this point I am going to contact animal control. It is a black lab about 70-80 LBS and they also have 4 brown labs all the same size and all aggresive. Their entire back yard has an wife fence with an electric fence on the inside of it. The lady beside me said there have been "issues" with them in the past and to call animal control. The dog got close enough I could have kicked it. My fear is there are little kids out all the time and families walking. I would hate for something to happen and a kid get attacked. I want to limit my liability and exposure so using a gun is last ditch if something drastic is happening. I already put the pepper spray in my car and have no problem giving old sparky a nice blast.

I will just give the cliffs. - Guy across the street has a bunch of dogs - One of these dogs ran across the street into my driveway/yard - Dog tried to attack me, barked, and had me cornered - Got back in car until it backed off - Got out of car came back across the street at me - Guy called dog and it went inside. Now I did not talk to him, yet. He is an older guy and they have lots of dogs. From what I was told there have been issues with the dogs in the past. Is my best course of action to call animal control and let them know? There was no one around to back up my story so I don't know if I can push the issue. If the dog bites me can I shoot it legally on my land? If you have had issues like this your input would be great.

I think you are smart enough to play within the rules that are laid out by the powers that be. The problem is, there are way to many people around here that are not. I just enforce the rules as requested by the powers that be. As long as you stay within those rules, don't cause to much trouble I could care less what happens. You seem to be a smart person, so I will not talk to you like many of the fucking dumbasses on here. I did not move it, so I can't speak for that person. If you can set this up at a real track than why not actually post it up? It would not have been moved...
