It is all about economy to scale my friend Building different cars for different goals has different costs. 6k for an f-body might get you into the 10's but not for long if you don't beef up the driveline and stuff. I added up the costs to just do a driveline (trans and rearend) for my car and it is going to be 4k to do that.

When I got my car it was "stock" and I took it to Brian for a Dyno Day. Turns out the car was very lean and Brian had me clean the MAF and to come back. Came back car was still lean, he pulled the tuned and it turned out someone had messed with it before I got it. Moral of the story -Dyno Brian is a great guy, won't screw you over, and is honest -Dyno numbers don't tell the whole story

I don't even have my graph lol and I don't know if it would do much good due to my converter. After my car was tuned the only thing I was worried about was that car was healthy and ready for the track.

I have my car shifting at I think around 6k or so. When mine was set up I wanted to make sure it was very safe and within limits of the car's ability. I know I am leaving power and ET on the table but if it keeps the car healthy and off jackstands that is fine by me.

To be honest most of the hondas I saw were junk. You are going to pay for the fuckups of another person and then pay to fix them. That is unless you want to buy something nice then mod it later. DSM's are not the best for a daily unless you know how to work on cars. I have not seen to many that have mods that run under their own power for long periods of time. It really comes down to what you want to do but think about this for a second. How much fun will it be when you have a boosted honda stuck in the snow? I saw this first hand at my apartment complex this winter and let me tell you that guy was hating life.
