  1. Just a couple quotes from Kawasaki USA's Facebook page.

"Inspired by the innovative spirit of the 1972 Kawasaki H2 motorcycle, developed by the collective strength of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd., and built to be a motorcycle the world never imagined possible. Witness the 2015 all-new Ninja H2 supersport motorcycle in this week's sneak-peak video here: http://bit.ly/1wZvoBA"

"The 1971 Kawasaki H2 was an unprecedented machine. The world's fastest motorcycle at the time, the "Mach IV" had a reputation for extreme performance. In 2015, the H2 legend lives on. For more teaser videos, check out www.ninja-h2.com"

These quotes give me hope that this is going to be the biggest baddest bike we've ever seen.

It says inspired by the spirit of the h2. It doesn't say it's a remake of the h2. We already know it's not a 3 cylinder 2 stroke. So that means it doesn't have to be a 750cc to be considered "in the spirit of the h2".

"built to be a motorcycle the world never imagined possible." No one really thinks it's possible to put a supercharged 1000cc + sized engine on a light weight street bike. No one really seems to think 200+ hp is streetable or usable on the track. I'm hoping this bike changes that for all of us and they show us it can be done.

"The 1971 Kawasaki H2 was an unprecedented machine. The world's fastest motorcycle at the time, the "Mach IV" had a reputation for extreme performance." I'm hoping the new H2 is also the fastest motorcycle of its time with a reputation for extreme performance.

  2. I know he made it as confusing as possible, but he traced the "leak" back to a false source that motorcycle.com "verfied" as being true. I could not find a more thought out article but there seems to be a media uproar about to go down about the validity of this idea of a new H2 made by Kawi being true. So don't hold your breath in waiting for a new Kawi H2. It seems to be a hoax that made its way into the realm of the real world.

So you are saying that the whole idea of the H2 is a hoax? What i got from the article above was the information leaked about the specs was false not the information about the h2 being debuted at the end of the month.

It is a pretty detailed hoax with the website (http://ninja-h2.com/s/) and videos on there. If you go to kawasaki.Com then click the link to their Facebook page link on there. The kawasaki USA Facebook page is posting the teaser videos also.

  3. Supposedly a Kawasaki engineer has leaked the specs:

1043cc centrifugal supercharged inline 4 cylinder.  220+ hp stock.  With an exhaust and some tuning, figure it can put 240 to the wheel, with a big fat torque curve.  Still, with the current race classes, it seems to be a drag race engine in a road race frame...

    http://www.ninjah2.org/forum/engine/1289-kawasaki-ninja-h2-insider-confirmation-engine.html

I read somewhere can't remember where though maybe the ninja h2 site that kawasaki said they weren't building a bike that fit into any current race classes.

  4. Still no new information? I wonder if it means that the facts have been uncovered but won't be released because it shows how wrong the mainstream media was. Or if it means the people of Ferguson have looted the entire town and have nothing left to steal so it is no longer interesting. They were rioting because they had asshole cops (in the towns people's opinion). Now they are going to have a shitier town with more pissed off cops. I think that's a fail for Ferguson Missouri.

  5. The only likely problem you might run into is in getting the filter off. When you get the new filter. Invest about $8 to get a filter tool. I prefer the type that fits snugly on the top of the filter can and attaches to your ratchet wrench. Most bikes don't have the space available to use the adjustable strap type.

    Good Luck!

    Chris

A hammer and screw driver will often work in a pinch.

  6. The interwebs says it's a 636-based engine with a turbo.  Bore and stroke the 636 a tad, and a turbo or supercharged 750 I-4 sounds like a pretty good guess.  that would be liter bike power with a lot less weight.

Could be pretty cool, but I'm not sure where it will fit in.   This is being touted as a "flagship" sportbike, so more expensive than the ZX10?

Here's the problem with the small displacement theory. The 2015 zx-10rabs weighs 443 lbs, the 2015 zx-6rabs weighs 228. 15 lb difference which I agree is a lot on a sport bike. But add a supercharger and most likely a bigger tire and the weight difference is greatly reduced. I don't see kawasaki wasting engineering and development time to make 1000cc power out of a chassis that only weighs 10 lbs less and call it their flagship.

  7. This topic seemed to have died of all of the sudden. Haven't heard anything about it in the news at all. It's crazy that it was all over the news for what seems like the perfect amount of time to distract from how the government seems to be downplaying the isis threats. Now all of the sudden nothing.

  8. "Johnson disputes that, saying Wilson -- while sitting in the car -- started the scuffle by grabbing Brown by the neck, and that Brown tried to pull away. Johnson also said that there was no struggle for the gun, but rather that Wilson drew the weapon and shot Brown once at the car."

I love this part of the friends claim saying the cop grabbed Brown by the neck while sitting in the car. That officer must have freakishly long arms to be able to grab a a guy that's 6'+ by the neck without even standing up.

Also the statement is made that the cop started the scuffle. But there would be no reason to any initiate contact with the two of them if they weren't being assholes walking in the street.

  9. CNN is reporting that a man has come forward with audio of the shooting (just the gunshots)

The clip they played sounded like about a 6 second shooting.

In the first 2 seconds you can hear 7 shots. Then a 2 second gap, then 5 shots over the next 2 seconds.

CNN is working to verify the tapes. http://www.mediaite.com/tv/cnn-airs-alleged-audio-from-michael-brown-shooting/

One commentator already said it proved the shooting was murder because the gap in the shooting shows the officer had time to re-evaluate. I'm not sure the audio (if it is true) shows much of anything. This may be like the orbital fracture CT scan...

On the off-chance it IS true...

    1) Compare it with the video recorded statement of the guy in the scene who said; "He doubled back on the cop. At first we thought he was missing... He just kept coming ... The cop was just dumping on him... " What was it about what the man saw that made him think the shots were missing? Did the Officer also think he was missing?

    2) The audio sounds like a voice mail where some guy is trying to chat up a lady. I notice that regardless of how loud the gunshots are, there is not a moment's hesitation in his voice. I expected to hear some kind of reaction in his voice. Seems off to me.

    3) If Brown transitioned from one behavior in which shooting him was justified to a different behavior where shooting was not justified, then would that 2 second gap be enough time for him to react by stopping his use of deadly force? Did brown have time to turn and put his hands up, and for the officer to perceive that? If Brown was running, would have have time to stop, turn and put his hands up? Takes me about 1.5 seconds to turn around and put my hands up from a standing position. I wonder hos that time would be be if I was running and stopped/turned/hands up? I'd be interested to know how long these witnesses claim his hands were up. A second? A few seconds? 10 seconds?

    4) How does this match up with the witnesses?

    - Dorian Johnson said the officer shot one time at Brown as he ran and that shot made Brown give up. There is no lone shot on the audio. This audio is incompatible with his story.

    - Michael Brady claimed he saw Wilson firing on Brown as Brown fled. He then ran outside in time to see the final shots. Unless he got outside in 2 seconds, this audio and his story are incompatible. This is what I like to call the Grits defense. My Cousin Vinnie showed me it.

    - Piaget Crenshaw said the officer chased and shot at the fleeing Brown, who reacted to being shot by turning around and putting his his hands up. The officer shot two more times. The second volley of shots was more than two, which is a minor inconsistency. More troubling is that I find it difficult to believe that Brown stops from a run, turned around and put his hands up in two seconds. He story is incompatible with the audio.

    - Tiffany Mtichell sad effectively the same thing - that Brown was shot in the back as he ran, and he stopped, turned around and put his hands up. Same problem as Crenshaw's testimony.

I'm pretty sure the police will know how many rounds were fired. Unless the officer was carrying a firearm with a magazine that was partially empty and some shell casings were not found for whatever reason.

Even if the audio is from the incident it shows nothing other than the amount of rounds fired and rate of fire. The 2 second gap in the firing also proves nothing. There are several reasons that the gap in shots could have happened. It could show that the officer stopped shooting to reevaluate the situation and determined that deadly force was still necessary.

You seemed to reference shots fired at Browns back a lot even though the family sponsored autopsy showed he was never shot in the back.

It's too bad the investigators are taking their time figuring this out. But I'm glad they are looking into all the FACTS and not just all the bs the media is putting out. Until the investigation is over we are only going to know bits and pieces that may or may not be true.

In the amount of time that they have been investigating the cop involved has not been placed in jail. That shows 1 of two things. The investigation has not shown enough evidence as of yet for the investigators to believe the cop is guilty of wrong doing. Or 2 despite having enough evidence of wrong doing, the public outcry and political pressure the investigators are not going to do what's right by charging the cop. My point being of they were going to find evidence of wrong doing they most likely would have found it by now.

  10. Considering that this is a zombie thread im going to say brains.

    But for real.

One of my son's favorites that i make is Toad In the Hole.

Butter some bread on both sides

Use a cup or empty soup can like a cookie cutter to take the center out of the bread slice.

Take the center or "hole" out. Put the slice of bread and the "hole" on a flat iron or whatever you use to cook grilled cheese. And cook it like grilled cheese.

Once one side of the bread slice is browned to your liking flip it over.

Then crack an egg into the center of the bread slice.

Then cook it until the egg is cooked to your liking. I prefer over easy or "dippin" eggs and use the "hole" to dip into the egg.

It takes a little trial and error to get the timing down to cook the bread and egg both to your liking.

Another one of my specialties is Beer butt chicken.

Just Google it and pick a recipe that sounds good. I prefer to smoke it.

  11. I read that but still don't see why it was relevant to bring up in the manner you did. It's pretty easy to armchair quarterback any decision someone has made. Especially when it's on video and you have the luxury of seeing it in a relaxed stress free environment from a different angle than those involved. We see it on here all the time in the crash threads. Just like riding fight or flight situations cause target fixation and tunnel vision. Graham VS. Connor is the case law that will most likely be used to determine if the shooting above and the Brown shooting are legal. The main part of Graham VS. Connor is to determine if a use of force to affect an arrest is justified based on 3 parts 1.Severity of the crimes the officer believes have been committed 2. The threat posed to officer or general public. 3. Is the suspect attempting to resist arrest or flee. The Court also stated that the use of force should be measured by what the officer knew at the scene, not by the "20/20 vision of hindsight".

  12. Last two shots, he was on his back.

Do you think you could react make the split second life or death decision to decide if the movements he was making from his back were an attempt to get up and continue coming at you if you were in the cops shoes any better than they did? If so maybe you should become a use of force instructor for the police and teach them how to make those decisions better.

  13. You really need to read more closely.  Distance is critical because he was moving away from the officer, which is fleeing and no longer a threat.  Feel free to argue that point with the Supreme Court ruling above.

So, after that he turned around which was either either attempting to surrender or possibly charging back toward the officer.  Statements on that point are being presented to the Grand Jury currently, and would likely be a key issue in a trail.

Just because he moved away at one point does not mean he was away from the cop when shot. We know he had turned to face the cop who was likely still pursing him. Just because he walked ran or skipped 30-35 ft from the cruiser does not mean that he was in no way a threat. The cop had to arrest him so most likely was attempting that. Distance from the cruiser is not = to the distance from the cop. Your argument is invalid.
