  1. This

which is where the LULZ are!
    is > this
Relax, I was just kidding  I kind of figured the sarcasm would be more/less implied, but incase that wasn't enough I spelled out the obvious with comments like "I dont lean I just rock" and " I just close my eyes and pray to Jesus" I don't want to start that whole countersteering mess again please. Let's just laugh at the obviously not funny to some joke and move along :)
  2. Minimal lean, minimal countersteer in both vids.. The first cop vid is pretty much all steering, the second one is pretty much him throwing himself into a lean the entire time. I just close my eyes and pray to make the corners, Jesus don't fail me now :)

You cannot turn a bike by just leaning. Watch the cornering bible on YouTube they explain it and why it looks and feels like the rider is only leaning.

  3. Not sure about $15k for a lightly used one. Have you priced a used Goldwing lately? They ain't cheap. I've been contemplating for a while, but the wife says we aren't old enough yet. I'm getting close, but she isn't.

The brand new price is $20,000 for the model listed (I missed a zero). I don't think its too much of a stretch that a used one would go for $5,000 less after these have been out a year. These aren't the full size ones all they have is a glove box and hard saddle bags, no touring box. It's their attempt to get at the younger cruiser crowd who doesn't want to go full size yet.

  4. I want to get a streetfighter project going, but I've been indecisive about what bike to start with as a base, and short on funds to take the plunge.

My finances may be improving this weekend (knock on wood), but I'm still kind of torn on what bike to start with.

I keep debating between "whatever 90's 600 I can find for a decent price" and Katana 750. The lack of radiator makes things a lot cleaner on a streetfighter, IMHO, but I want to be able to do track days on whatever I end up with as well.

I think I really just want a Honda 599 for that costs $1,000 or so. Oh well. The search continues.

I know where you can find a race ready 03 cbr 600 for around $2,500.

  5. Here are a couple from the last mod session.....pulling the dents out of the tank....was tired of the low fuel capacity:

Guess this is the closest I have to the finished bike, ended up spraying it white and blue.

What did you use to black out the exhaust? Engine block high temp paint?

  6. G&R is in waldo. Worth the drive if you have time. Take cash that's all they take. I grew up 15min from there used to spend a lot of time riding my bmx bike there with friends for the Bologna sandwich or their country boy sandwich.

As far as in Marysville Benny's is the go to place make sure you get pizza. Other than that its Roosters and Whitecastle or waffle house early morning.

If you get up early enough try Mrs. Rensons donuts near the advance auto.

  7. That wing is kinda cool. No doubt they are asking a healthy price for it.

I checked out of curiosity and was surprised that it was less than I expected. It's around $20,000. Which is up there for a bike but compared to other cruisers its not bad. That means next year they could be under $15k lightly used. If so I may add one to my stable.

  8. Countersteering or no, you're still leaning over when you turn a bike. It's physics. To claim you don't lean when cornering is just dumb. You might countersteer to initiate the turn, but it's not as if you're straight up and down.

You can turn a bike and sit straight up and down its called counter leaning. The bike still turns but the bike needs to lean more and it becomes an unstable ride. Unless your on a dirt bike and then counterleaning is how you turn.

  9. So tell me something... I these scenarios where there was actual damage done, and it gets shrugged off as "your word vs his bro lol" then what about all those stories where a bike gets pulled over based on the word of some old lady who thinks she saw some kid on a "cratch racket" speeding?

Pretty much if he doesn't see it it isnt 100% legal for him to pull you over unless he can come up with his own probable cause. Which could be as simple as he thought he saw an equipment violation (loud exhaust, no mirrors, no license plate light, malfunctioning brake light). Once he stopped you he noticed he was mistaken and decided to warn you that you fit the description of the guy in the complaint. If you had a good lawyer that wasn't too busy he could tear one of these stops apart and probably get you a small settlement. As long as your bike clearly has no equipment violations that'd would allow a stop.

  10. Now for the truly weird in drones. This is a drone. It's fully capable of autonomous take off, flight, and landing. Without pilots on board. The autopilot and navigation computer on an Antov An-225 Mriya is so extreme, it can start and complete a mission on it's own. Normally flown with crew on board since, well, it's expensive...

It can fly its self but they put a crew on it because it is expensive? :wtf: Kind of seems pointless to me. This plane is so expensive since it can fly itself that we (whoever owns it) need to have people fly it. The only benefit I can thing of is if its got a crazy huge fuel capacity and it can fly long enough to allow the crew to snooze. But if that were the case you'd think 2 rotating flight crews would be cheaper then building it to fly its self.
