  1. True. They should have let the guy run them over a few times, back up and hit them again for good measure, and then finally decided to defend themselves. Those damn hooligan AFJs.[/quote

Approaching a truck that is attempting to run you over is dumb. If he was attempting to run them over why didn't he? There was nothing between them but air and opportunity.

  2. I took it as an offensive move, not defensive. Seemed like "I'll teach you not to fuck with me." as opposed to "Oh my gosh, 2v1 they might kick my ass. I better grab something to protect myself."

everything is speculation at this point, it could have gone several ways but it didnt...it is what it is

They approached the truck before he got out with the tire iron. Not offensive he didn't chase them when they backed up not offensive. If they shot him they would be in deep shit

  3. Next time youre stopped by a police officer, reach behind your seat, grab a tire iron, get out of the car and brandish it at the officer....i would say you will get tazed. he doesnt have to swing it for it to be a weapon

The first rider was well ahead and clear of the truck. He was off his bike and waiting at the stop sign. Taxed not shot not deadly force. They aren't law officers pulling him over. Prove he didn't have the tire iron to tighten down something on his load after that rough ride. Check the Ohio attorney generals website it has court cases defining a weapon. It states something along the lines of a tool is not a weapon until the person holding it attempts to use it as one.

  4. hell not it's not but you have to keep in mind they are bringing it on themselves. and to others. just like the innocent guys in the video coming the opposite way that almost got hit.

now I'm not blaming the riders in the video for that guy's actions but if everyone would stop doing track speeds because they think it makes them cool, the people that live there wouldn't be acting like that.

because that's not the only one that has. even in different counties people are pulling that kind of thing.

some have ran out in the road with guns pointed at riders.

true. I don't want to catch the wrath of some wack job when they snap because several others have pissed them off.

  5. i would say they made a reasonable attempt to flee the situation and it didnt work. they pulled over and the guy tried to run over the one guys bike...after pushing it out of the way, both parties had words and then the guy went into his truck and grabbed a weapon...at that point, i think they would have been justified to shoot him...im no lawyer, but i dont see it going differently than that....if they had just jumped off the bikes and shot him, that wouldnt fly...but once he grabbed that weapon (although the argument could be made that the truck was a weapon too), game on.

i would say if they had stopped on the spot it would be worse because they did nothing to try and escape the confrontation

After the reasonable attempt to flee the lead rider stopped and waited, no longer fleeing. The second bike followed the truck, not fleeing. Attempted to run over his bike. Deadly force cannot be used to protect property. In order to legally use deadly force you have to ne able to prove you didn't provoke or escalate the situation in any way. Running upto and opening the guys door. Stopping and standing in front of his truck preventing him from leaving. Looks like provoking / escalating to me.

  6. I doubt that would even remotely hold up in a court of law. There were two of them against him, with a tire iron. I guarantee you that would be considered an unnecessary use of deadly force despite what happened prior.

Taking someone's life is serious business, and in that situation would be completely unwarranted (even though I wouldn't piss on that guy to put him out if he was on fire). I think just pulling out the gun alone would have made their point, but also believe that would still be a bit extreme. Cool heads prevail...

Don't pull your gun unless your going to use it. That's how I see it.

  7. all I have to say is, they've pissed too many of the locals off and....if you can't outride a big pickup truck with a 500lb 4 wheeler in the back, you shouldn't be passing in the first place.

As someone who lives on a road favored by bikers I understand the locals view. There's only so many times bikes can fly by on a reckless manner before it gets under your skin. It doesn't bother me that much but my neighbors hate it. Apparently I get the blame for all the bikes on the road. In the passed 2 years there have been 2 wrecks with 2 fatalities on the same curve a 1/4 mile from my house. Both due to excessive speed.

Now what this asshole in the truck did is fucking stupid so don't think I'm siding with him. Just be aware that there are people that give us a bad name and some people hit their breaking point. A buddy of mine and his friends ride like jackasses up and down the same road a lot. They've pissed the locals off so much that they (the locals) have tried throwing stuff at them. One lady threw gravel one guy threw a football. So watch out out there.

  8. I don't tolerate gravel all that well, lol. I HATE gravel. It scares the crap out of me. I know I can't always have a clean path but you know what I mean. I haven't heard of some of those roads you mentioned so I'll have to do some riding! Thanks![/quote

No problem. If your free on a Sunday/ Monday and feel like coming up for a ride I could show u a few. I wouldn't push it being your first time on em but they are a good time.

  9. Agreed, he's lucky neither of them had their ccw

I don't think the ccw would be a good card to pull. I believe *(im not a lawyer this is my opinion)* that the legal system would say the bikers shoulda pulled over there. The one "chased" him. Then at the stop the bikers went to the truck (attack/provoke). Now if they pulled over on the spot and he also stopped then jumped out with the weapon and charged them, game on. Otherwise I'd stick to the fist fight. Just my 2 cents.

    What came of this?

  10. I think it sounds like your welcome has officially wore out here Ringo. I did see some hope for you after our ride but you seem to find a way with every thread to dig yourself a deeper hole. You prolly otta pack up and leave. Nobody is gonna cut you any slack anymore.

    I second this.

This damn site is run like a communist dictatorship! Why can't we vote people off of here?

  11. Im gonna keep the dog. Due to you guys making me feel like a complete asshole.

Anyone got any tips for training her to stay with me off leash outside? Leashes and cages suck...

You are an asshole! At least on here. We just helped you realize it.

  12. If i was trying to sell a dog i would through her on ebay and sell to the highest bidder. I posted here because you guys seem to be mature, and like animals... Im guessing i was wrong.

Id like to see you guys piss away 1000 dollars.

First you can't sell critters on eBay because they don't wanna help people like you.

Pretty much all I've gotten from you in this thread is cry cry cry, I'm an immature dumbass that made a decision that wasn't thought out and decided to fix this by spending more money on it. Now I really regret it and now I'm going to convince you guys to bail me out and replace my money. You all suck because you don't like me because I do dumbshit.

Have you noticed how much everyone else gets along on here? With the exception of you this is a pretty cool group. With the repeated bashing of your actions you would think that one would step back and think, maybe there is a reason a majority of people dislike you. You don't fit in. Why cry about cyberwars you start? Just go away leave this place to the grown ups. Problem solved.

  13. ...I adopted her because i didnt want her to die... What do you guys not understand about this? Should i have let her die? I am an animal lover too and that is why i made this decision.

Not going to give you shit but if your being honest about caring wanting her to have a good life go with carwhore. Chalk the money you spent up as a loss and maybe saving the dogs life will go in your good karma bank. Use it as a life lesson and move on.

  14. Sorry Tyler its hard but eventually it needs to be done. You give a pet a good life and they live longer than their bodies can withstand. It is needed at times I don't want to live long after I'm in that kind of pain. It's a hard decision to make and I'm sorry that you need to go through with it.

  15. A couple weeks ago we had to put down our cat that my fiancee had for 18 years. I know cats are not as close to people as dogs but in my opinion I felt she should be held by someone she liked. My fiancee couldn't do it so I stayed with her (the cat) and held her. First they gave her a sedative and she feel asleep in my arms and I held her the rest of the time. She went peacefully and relaxed. It was hard but I just thought that if it were me I'd want someone there with me so I did the same for our cat.

  16. Check with a car audio shop. I can't suggest any I haven't.seen any for a while. But I'd imagine anywhere that installs alarms and remote starters could do it. Just a guess that's worth a shot.
