  1. Commute! I'm married with three as well. Hence, I'm not allowed to ride for fun either. The key is.... sell your story to the wife that it is a safe, economical way to get to and from work. You will save hundreds of dollars in gas and get some enjoyment every day as well. I just hope she doesn't catch on that I seem to pull more weekend-duties when the sun is out. Don't tell! Keep the bike, enjoy it, and be safe!
  2. I like it. Seems cleaner to me. I've been on some forums with a "Thanks" or "Thumbs Up" button. I like that because you don't have 20 people replying with "+1" or "I agree". Either format, you run a great forum. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it. I do like the rotating pictures at the top of the current format. Any way to integrate that? When I'm bored at work, I just sit there and hit "home" over and over and over and over.

No question, their general prices suck. But the clearance prices aren't that bad. I generally watch the Vance's fliers and stock up when the prices are right. I used to shoot steel out of the AK, but that was an AK. I might buy some steel for my Armageddon stock-pile. But it's useless at NASR.
  4. I love the new look of the bike. Let's see if we can get together a ride this spring.

If you're comfortable ordering on-line, Cabela's has some decent deals. The .380 Magtech ends up being around $19.00/box of 50. If you can shoot steel, 9mm is about $12.00/box of 50. Hit them at the right time and shipping can be free.
  6. Here's a current one. Could be read a couple of different ways. http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/1618824277.html
  7. "We are the World" take 3....
  8. Gotta admit, the libs were smart enough to convince America into voting "for change" in November of '08. Granted, "liberal" and "democrat" are not 100% synonymous with one another, but were the homeless that ACORN rounded up to vote democrat, liberals? I guess they did get a free meal, a few bucks, and years of entitlements. I think this link might be on to something.

    Welcome to the forum!
  10. I sit here in humbled awe... again.:bow:
  11. Just pulled in a few minutes ago off of I-70. I think Rick Nash passed me.
  12. Welcome to the forum. You'll get used to the smart-asses.
  13. There's always www.youparklikeanasshole.com.
  14. Pure practicality. I commute via I-70, so I was looking for something with comfortable ergonomics, good fuel consumption, good looks, and some balls. The FZ6 fits the bill. It'll do 150+ (so I've read), gets 45-50 MPG, and is beautifully understated. For me, it's my perfect bike. Now if I was going to add to the stable, but keep the FZ6, I'd likely end up with a cruiser, a GS, or even a track bike. For the reality of my situation though, the FZ fits the bill. I don't have delusions of Rossi nor do I have room for a bar and shield tattoo on my ass. She's staying warm in her blanket right now, so pics in a few weeks.
  15. It's cool, brother. Now let's get out and ride!!!!!
  16. Is that last hit in '95 coming back to haunt me? Someone call Suzuki and let them know that their specs are wrong. http://suzukicycles.com/Product%20Lines/Cycles/Products/GSX650F/2009/GSX650F.aspx?category=sportbike
  17. I'm far too new to the forum to put out venomous sarcasm. But if I would have been a respected veteran of the site, I might point out that one should really research their point before embarrassing themselves. It's an I-4. Sorry.
  18. My point... 30 minutes to learn, compared to my 1911s, Sigs, Glocks, Walthers which can be field-stripped with blindfolds on. I'm still pro-Ruger, don't get me wrong. It's just a different take-down than your standard pistols and takes some practice. I've had a standard Mark II with 6.5 inch barrell, and a Government Mark II with the bull barrell. Great guns!
  19. If you can find an FZ6 (not in the 2010 Yamaha line-up), it makes a fine sport-tourer. Claimed 98 horsepower, but the ergos for the long-haul. I've also heard rumors of VFR-800s for dirt-cheap at the dealerships.
  20. Can't really go wrong with any of them. They're called "plinkers" for a reason. Just go out and have some fun with it!
  21. Gotta admit, my Mark II was THE hardest gun to field strip that I have ever owned. Liked it though.
  22. The Sigs are pretty slick. I have a P226 and love it. As for the .22s, I've had several of those listed. The buckmark was the most accurate, but jammed all the time. If I was to go to the store today for a new one, I'd likely get a Ruger with a bull barrel.
  23. I live in Franklin County, pay zoo taxes, AND pay for a season-pass AND donate when asked. Now, is it the government's responsibility to support a Zoo? No, but there are many worse things sucking our tax money. If people would step up and support the things they feel are valuable to themselves and society, we wouldn't need to tax. So, yes... my family loves the zoo. Can't wait to see the bears.
