To each, his own.... Loaded magazine in the gun, but not chambered. Again, that one bit of added protection. For me, my vision of need is the bump in the night, dogs barking, alarm sounding....time to think and react. Someone bursting through my doors would have the upper hand, but wouldn't they with no safe and chambered weapons at the ready? I know I'm disoriented when startled from sleep. Again, to each, his own. I'm not here to convince anyone of doing something different. I like to know that my guns are secure from little hands of both my children and of their friends. I like to know that protection is a keystroke away. I like to know that if a child was able to access one of the safes through dumb luck, problem solving or finding the stash of keys (they all have a back-up key....locked away of course), they will have to consciously rack the slide to fire. I'm good with it that way. It works for me.

Please be careful. A child's ability to reason is not developed like an adult. Something as easy as pressing four key strokes being the difference between life and death. There are no more teachable moments when that child lays dead on the floor.

I also have a keyed stack-on which houses my EDC which I really like, but it opens from the top so a nightstand may not work. I also have some Walmart thing that opens from the top. I'm not a fan because you have to hit a wake-up key. For me, no problem. But my wife is less of an enthusiast and doesn't care to memorize the idiosyncrasies of each different safe.

I've been happy with the Gun Vault. Had mine for 14 years with no issue. I change batteries when the beep starts to fade.

+1 There is no time to start a business better than when you are in a position for which you are overqualified and over-talented. Get the steady income and benefits and invest that sweat and energy now.

I'm a big fan of OWB, but it's more difficult in warmer scenarios. I like the Concealment Solutions Sidewinder for that. For IWB, I've found Crossbreed Supertucks provide a good carry system. The belt attachment points are spread out and the Kydex is thinner than leather. I find leather IWB to take up more room than necessary. Everyone has opinions and these are mine. My current carry is a CZ 75D compact PCR. It's about the size of a Glock 19. I carry comfortably both IWB and OWB. Get a good belt made for holster support.

I publicly apologize to zx3fr. I have no excuse other than not fully engaging in what I was reading before posting. Although I haven't fully read the bill, I have no reason to believe that he is not correct regarding capacity as that piece would fit what the legislature is trying to do.

Identify where in that bill an arm brace becomes an SBR and I will publicly proclaim my mistake with full apology.

Where in there? In fact section C1 defines the hand gun as having a short stock being able to be fired with one hand?
