There's certainly the possibility a PD not properly training its officers to use the equipment properly or allowing the desk machine fall out of maintenance / certification. You can buy a $40 breathalyzer from Walgreens. There's obviously an issue with calibration with such machines, which is why they do FSTs (so I'd like to think). OVI laws are nonsensical bullshit that makes you ashamed to be educated in Ohio. The precondition for an OVI is "operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drug of abuse... OR soandso .08% BAC or greater in so many words". Clearly someone at .07% BAC is under the influence of alcohol. Why wouldn't they get hit with an OVI?

Unless you're morbidly curious what happens when a bike hits a semi head on, skip it. The guy fixated on the truck. He would have delayed his untimely death if he would have held his line.

I wouldn't tolerate this in a carry gun. Just get a J-frame.

I got an 870 home defense / tacticool that I bought... three years ago? Whatever the one with the 18" barrel and magazine tube that extends to the barrel. Bad photo in attached. I've added a side saddle to it, hogue rubber foregrip, filled the hollow riflestock full of expanding foam to make it flex less, and Norell MolyResined (two part and thermally cured - great stuff, google it) it flat black because the factory bluing sucks. I haven't shot it a lot because there isn't a good reason to shoot it a lot. It's broken in, but not much more. With the price of buck and slugs, I'd rather run rounds through an AR or a Glock. fitz - what external GPS receiver were you using? What do you think of it? I think your method here could be a big thing if word got around.

Don't rationalize yourself out of buying what you want. The question you need to answer for yourself is if you want a literbike or a sumo. A good deal isn't a good deal if it's not what you want. You've looked for a CBR1kRR for a year and you've finally found one. But maybe your tastes have changed in that time. Personally, I'm a fan of buying bike or two after the leaves start to fall.

fitz - that's cool as hell. Do I have this straight?: External bluetooth GPS receiver feeds Android phone running Trackmaster with better GPS info. Both devices are carried in/on the bike/rider. Trackmaster app exports recorded location+time data in RaceChrono format. RachChrono program is used to overlay telemetry data onto a video. You have to manually sync the video and overlay right?

Test ride 600RR, buy 600RR. Ride 90 miles home, pull in the driveway. Kick kickstand down like a champ, hear it hit the stop. Swing right leg over the tail to dismount. Realize the f-cking kickstand bounced off the stop and I'm past the point of no return.

Sold! Getting the bike sold is nice, but ending the pain the craigslist users were bringing to my inbox is the real reward.

Thanks for sharing your opinion. I apologize for being insensitive to the pet peeves of those who aren't interested in buying the motorcycle, and hope they don't lose too much sleep over it. Those who are interested in buying the bike, but unable to afford an additional $20 for a new set of bar ends after purchasing a $5000 motorcycle, please contact me in private and we'll see if we can come to an agreement for a workaround and whether or not we can make this happen.

The previous owner was an idiot (replaced the stock black bar ends with shiny ones to match the silver paint and apparently didn't loctite the screws, so it vibrated out) and I never bothered replacing it because I couldn't decide which set I wanted and the vibes aren't bad on the bike at all.
