  1. Not sure what the actual split is, but I played with the numbers until we are both contributing about the same percentage of our income to the home and joint expenses. So we both give about 85% of our income to house, bills, insurance, ect.  My 85% is a lot more $ than hers, but so is the 15% that is mine.

That sounds reasonable.  Are you both happy handling it that way?

For the most part.  Sometimes we each get grumpy when the unexpected expense comes along, and we have to contribute more than planned.  But more of that is the issue of the unexpected expense and not the spit of the money.

I will add that I pay all the bills.  We both have accounts at Chase, they have quick pay, so we can flip money between accounts in like 10, in the middle of the night while sitting in bed with our phone.  I am more responsible about such things, plus since we could not be legally married till this summer, we could not do some types of joint account and bills until we were allowed to get married.

  3. Got warnings on my 88 RX7 convertible. Plate was stuck between dash and windshield on the passengers side, but it was view able from the outside. Cop told me it has to be front, center on bumper.   Based on that, I am waiting on them bitching about my jeep.  It is on the bumper but way to the right side.

  5. where is OSUmj, Sapphy and Tracy? they might have some more good input.

    Carie??? I mean Casper?

Mary is right, sizing is a bitch! nothing is consistent, that's why my suit is a mens.

I am around, not sure how much help I can be because as a big girl (read amazon heifer) I wear guys gear as most women gear will not fit me.  Also I ride cruiser, so I know jack squat about track gear.

  6. Rotary engines are cool, but didn't the RX-8 struggle to break 20 mpg with a 1.3 liter??  Until they fix that, it's not going to be viable for them to sell.

Yes all rotary's suffer from poor MPG.  Every RX7 i have owned (80,81,83,88(12a and 13b)) all got around 17mpg city or highway. And they all use oil at a rate of a qt per 1000 miles. Both these issues are why I don't see Rotary's ever being more than a niche car that falls in the gap between muscle and high end sports.

  7. 315 this morning around OSU, multiple items on roadway bouncing back and forth between lanes and the walls as cars hit them like pinballs.  One bounced off my front tire and into the side of the car next to me, then it when somewhere behind me.  As fast as it all happened looked to be about the size of mini baskeballs.  Happened so fast I had no time to do anything. It shook the bike pretty hard but no damage I could see before I had to run into the office.

  8. /half joking filter on

Go find the pedestal that you are connected to and "bump" it a little too hard with a lawn tractor.

    /half joking filter off

check the wires in your house.  Can you move the modem to the first device once the coax comes in?  Just keep bugging them
