  1. Dude, you're slow.

    Isn't he?

Ninja14, I still have my doubts as to whether or not you even own a bike that doesn't pedal, but I'll give you the benefit. Just out of my own curiosity, though--How old are you? The main reason I ask is because as has been said, you're slower than shit, and most, if not all, of your "comebacks" have the quality of a middle school kid. I just would think that with a reckless op "way back in September", as you called it, and now a pretty high speeding ticket, getting insured on a zx14 would be an exercise in futility. (That means impossible, m'kay, punkin) I had a hard enough time getting a decent rate on my cbr, and I'm old, with a decent record. I've worked in insurance for the past ten years, and with those type of things, combined with the bike, if you have coverage, get ready to get a cancellation notice instead of a renewal. So back to my original question--How old are you? Oh, and can I come to your party? I like hot tub ladies.

  2. So what were you expecting to happen here? Were you expecting an Internet horde of guys wearing doo-rags and Ed Hardy shirts to put you up on a pedestal and declare "bro, that's fukin sick! I jus ran from 1 this weekend doin 150, 170 is fukin xtreme!. fuck da po-po!"

As far as the assertion that you aren't a squid, let's analyze that a little.

Stupid - For running from the cop

Quick - For going 170 on public, rural roads

Underdressed - So what gear did you have on?

    Ignorant - Yep.

Dangerous - For piloting a 600 pound projectile at 170MPH, you bet your ass.

Yep, sounds like calamari to me.

Say that to his face, Cheech. I dare ya.

  3. OK, I'm claiming the dubguy of cars here... But you asked. :) Keep in mind, this list goes back to 1994 when I first got my license.

1993 Ford Probe GT--Wish I'd have kept that car. Drove it through high school and college.

    2000 Ford Mustang--POS

1994 Ford Probe GT--bought it for $1500, with "blown engine" spent $20 on a tank of gas, no shit. Almost felt bad about it. Cleaned it up, sold it for much more than paid.

1993 Ford Probe GT--first automatic car ever had.

1994 Toyota Tercel--bought it on a whim, ended up keeping it for a year after I couldn't kill it. Amazingly, a fun little car with a 4 speed manual and vinyl seats.

    2003 Lexus ES300--still have it.

2004 Pontiac Grand Am--bought back as lemon. 4 transmissions in 13,000 miles.

    2003 Honda Accord EX V6 coupe--totaled

2004 Honda Accord EX V6 coupe--stolen while 2 states away from home. Not fun.

2003 Nissan 350Z--got married, we thought it wouldn't be good with kids. Sold.

2005 Honda Accord EX V6 coupe--decided I wanted an suv.

    2005 Toyota 4Runner sr5--REALLY didn't want an suv

    2005 Toyota Camry SE

2006 Honda Accord EX V6 6 speed coupe--blown engine at 5,000 miles. dumped it.

    2006 Acura TL

2006 Dodge Magnum R/T--lost it in divorce. :(

2007 Toyota Camry LE--short term lease

2008 Toyota Camry LE--another short term lease

2005 Toyota Prius--bought used when Lex hit 200k--totaled.

Most of the time, had more than one car, obviously.

  4. Are you looking to buy used or new? Because if you think a 6 is too expensive you need to stay away from the Smart Cars. They start around $15000 new and probably not much less for used due to the novelty. I got my 6 (2003) last year for around 8. A car that's a couple years old will be way more than that unless it's a POS.

Smart starts at around $12k. My roundabout budget is $15k plus whatever equity I have in my current car. Like I said, that's budget, so I don't HAVE to spend it all, and I'd like to spend less if I can.

  5. I have a Mazda 6 and I absolutely LOVE it! Very fun to drive, but it is a 5 speed V6 so I don't know how a base model 3 would be. I agree, the 6 isn't great in the snow but once I got used to it (previously had a PT Cruiser that was awesome in the snow) I had fun!

I do like a Mazda 6. I've just got a certain amount I'm wanting to spend, and I don't want to go above that, mainly because car payments suck. I'm open to suggestions for things that are maybe a year or two old, as well. Gotta say I'm kinds looking forward to trying out a Smart car today. Pics WILL be taken. :)

  6. Actually Id like an actual english teachers take on this since "My gf and I." is not a complete sentence and only a phrase...it may be proper grammar since its in a nominative case.

How bout this-- We all knew what the shit he meant. Jeez, is it winter again? :p

  7. toyota matrix/pontiac vibe (i know they don't make any more pontiacs lol), if they still make them?

    gti

subaru impreza (not wrx/sti depending on your budget)

    i'm partial to hatchbacks.

if you don't need the fuel economy and depending on your budget and if you need the sedan, the civic Si sedan is pretty neato. but at that point, you're close to an accord. i'd skip the camry, i had one and was not a fan.

Agre about the Camry. I had one, and sold it after three months and bought an '03 Accord six speed as my daily driver, back when the Lex was still company owned.

Speaking of VW's, my next door neighbor just came home with a new CC last night. That is a sexy ass car.

  8. In my opinion, which means nothing to some I am sure, that would be a bad idea for the cop. He is in a very vulnerable position sitting in his patrol car. If you were to have a gun and pull it quickly the officer would have zero reaction time. But again, this is just my opinion and... sorry for the thread jack.
