  1. Bike looks a LOT better with those straight bars than the apes!

Looks like you had a busy afternoon.... Did you actually go into the RnRHOF then?

Looks much better, and it steers now, too. I can do low speed turns. :D I do love having the cruiser. a 500 mile day would definitely not have happened on the CBR. On the cruiser, I just feel like I should buy a better seat if I'm gonna do long ride fairly often, but it was still comfortable.

Yeah, I spent a couple of hours in the HOF, since I'd never been there. It was pretty nice, but reminded me of a giant Hard Rock Cafe, but at the Hard Rock, I'd get lunch for my $22. Here, I got a wrist band, and yelled at for taking a pic inside of Elvis' car.

  2. This morning before I left the house:

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Hadn't ever been there. I thought it was pretty good.

I forget where I was for this pic. GPS coordinates have it as Westfield, Oh. Someplace up north in a neighborhood that never happened. Streets were in, lots of lots with electric, sewer taps, etc., and a nice sign at the entrance saying new, single family homes from $61,000... Looks like it's been abandoned for about 10 years or more.

After all of that, I came down through Dayton, and back home.

    End of day:

All in all, it was a good day, and I'd be happy to spend more days riding aimlessly. I left this morning, with no clue where I was going, and didn't know until I saw a sign.

For the sticklers, yes I know I missed my 500 mile goal by about 30 miles. I took some long ways and side trips, but it's how it turned out.

  3. I never understand the point of advertising the time/location of a sobriety checkpoint' date=' kinda counterproductive isn't it?[/quote']

Can't be having the drunks hire a lawyer to say they were "ambushed". Seems counterproductive, but they still work. lol. Probably only the sober people read the dispatch. :)

  4. "an eye for an eye makes the whole world bling"..... Ghandi

Those dudes are seriously disturbed sick fucks. I grew up working on a dairy farm and never seen anything like those fuktards. Only thing to take solace in is that when you punch a cow in the head it hurts your hand like hell

I'm a little concerned that you know this. I can't fathom what would make an adult think that this could be considered ok. Another reason I have no use for most people.

  5. I already know your riding style so there is no good input there, you've not tested the limits of a tire. I dont mean that to be a slam so please dont take it that way.

Believe me, I know. I'm slow. That's the point I was trying to make, though. I think Shinko's are fine for people that stay away from the edge, just based on my limited experience with them.

  6. One time I was riding on campus and a girl made a weird noise at me, then swallowed a banana whole. I took her home with me. Did I do it wrong?

Edit: If my girlfriend reads this, this did not actually happen. Except for the one time I was riding on campus part. That did happen. Thank you.

  7. I wanted to hear some opinions on Shinko tires. I personally use them and I am very satisified. I've used the 005 adavanced on my Buell and the 003 drags on my zx14. However alot reviews I've read are either hit or miss. So anybody have any experiences?

Ninja, since you and I go way back with our friendship, I feel like I should answer this... I kept thinking about it, but wasn't sure, so I went back and found the receipt for a set of tires I put on my old gsxr600. Sure enough, they were Shinko tires. While I don't remember any specifics on how long they lasted, I do know that it was at least 10,000 miles, since it had 3,700 miles on it when I bought them, and I sold the gixxer with right at 11k.

True, they may not be as good as some tires, but I'd bet they're fine for 90% of riders, and $20 saved is $20.

Just curious, but if you've already got them, why are you asking opinions? That's like me starting a thread to ask if Conti Attacks are a good tire. :dunno:

  8. or seeing the rapid twitch like a fish in the rear view mirror

ugh, that honestly makes my stomach turn a little when I see that. Makes me feel a little better about backing over them.
