I thought we could do some streetracing, and a burnout contest on their sidewalk. Glad I checked this thread first. I will see you all Wednesday night.
Seems to me like a trailer, or even better, a ramp with some tie downs to put the bike directly into the truck bed would be best. The thing you're thinking about reminds me of the power chair carriers I see on the back of a minivan or Lincoln Town Car.
I think part of the swooning that came with my Kat was the authentic, genuine purple velvet seat that came with the bike. Or maybe the rattle can special gold wheels. You're not old enough to remember, but gold wheels used to be pretty much awesome. My poor Kats original owner just had all kinds of sad ideas with the bike.
waterworks is who I used the one time I needed a plumber. Good work, fast service, prohibitively expensive, though. I didn't know that when I called them, though.
I admire your industrious can-do attitude. If you make the ride, I'll kick in chips and salsa, as well as the legal beverage of your choice from Chipotle.
I theoretically hit the low triple digits on a long straight stretch, just to see if my bike could do it. I got scared right at 56 mph and backed off, though.
As far as I can tell, for the purpose I'm wanting it for, it doesn't make much of a difference. If I were to choose between the two, probably padded, though.
I can't post in the classifieds section, so I figured I'd post here. I'm going to buy a motorcycle stand, more than likely today. Just figured I'd check to see if anyone here has an extra one that's just sitting around that they wouldn't mind selling before I do that.
