Okay I haven't built a PC in a while at least 3+ years and I'm stepping out of my comfort zone and wanting to build a workstation versus a gaming PC. I have , I have a 500 Watt power supply, I have the hard drives. Requirements. 16 GB of RAM minimum As many USB ports as possible A minimum of 4- 6 SATA ports This PC will strictly be for photo editing with lightroom and Photoshop My PC is to the point where it's just too slow for importing and editing and swapping back and forth between Lightroom and Photoshop quickly. $500 is average of what I'd like to spend if it's close to 600 I'll be okay I will be buying the parts over the next couple months This PC will only be running Windows 7 I have no desire to switch to Windows 8

Ive only been downtown for fireworks when i had friends who worked at hte state buildigns and we could watch from there. We used to have fanTASTIC spot, but now its covered in construction and fenced off I have no clue where we will go this year

how big or small do you want it? If you are going to be using photoshop, dont get anything less than 8GB of ram or you will hate yourself. Buy an external drive for storing your photos while editing (this is a REALLY nice function of Lightroom 5)

I have been making "kindling" piles too, Please if you take wood, I ask that you take one of the kindling piles too. Im trying to keep them decent size, i hope it cools off more for me to go out there and cut them in to 3ft lenghts and bundle them with twine. I have posted these on craigslist I want this all gone by the end of the week.
