Thanks everyone! Hellmutt, I've got a guy up in Milwaukee who wants to come down next week towards the end of the week. But I am just the middle man. Plus she is like 5'3 or 4 and can barely reach herself.

Been riding for way over 30 years, started off in the dirt and on the hills, so I know about crashing. Even though its not the same as on the road, you tend to hit more things and do some real weird contortions when you crash while offroad, so pain is pain, just no cages. Scootin around town I have come to be always aware, ever vigilant although we all know that doesn't always work. And in and around our small town I do not gear up. Now if I hit the slab, its helmet on (quite often the fullface), full leathers (in the heat-mesh textile with full guards), boots. Not the fancy super expensive pants, but leather helps more than you might think. I do not begrudge an rider who chooses to ride full gear on, or shorts and sandals. Its choice, but my wife being a new rider I insist on her being fully covered. I do things instinctually, she is still learning.

Buy it, then melt her down if it suits ya.....lol....but I was impressed with it I'm just not a contortionist....flipping my harley boots back up for the pegs was a trick

It has about 11k miles on it. A few scratches, all cosmetic. I rode it and it runs and operates great. No mechanical issues and she has it serviced probably more than it needs...its pretty quick and handles great...not my cup of tea but I can why some people like these types of bikes. Am posting this for a girlfriend of my wife's. She's looking for a good quality V Star 650 type of bike instead so her asking price for the Katana is $2000. Yep, I agree the paint scheme is a bit gurly, but I hear they're pretty easy to repaint..and what the heck, most of us guys are just lesbians at heart.....lol

I hear it doesn't take much to re paint one of these.

I was going to say Reisers but they're in Columbus. I've had a few things done there, mostly small stuff, and they seem reasonably priced and do good work. They have been about for several decades...but thats a long ride.

Like most laws, they either bury the straight truth in volumes of verbage, or when they do come out and say something, it almost always seems to be vague. It gives the LEO's lots of leeway, but also gives them fits because the lawyers eat this stuff up once in court. Problem is, working stiff's like me (and this is what they like) don't usually fight tickets like an equipment ticket because of the cost incurred. Thanks again

I just swapped my rear turns for run turns so I would have more running lights to the rear than just the brake light. My turns only were amber too. But I'm thinking red would be better facing back. Just don't know what johnny law requires here in o-HI-o, but thanks

Whats the law in Ohio regarding the lense cover on rear light that are run/turns? Is red legal? Brake light is separate.

Glad they got him. Barry should get no credit, it was the boys over there that got it done.
