I've been in LE for 20 years and although I've never pulled anyone over for that traffic offense in particular, they are usually trying to find something more (suspended license, drugs, outstanding warrants, whatever). Most "real' crimes like burglary, robbery, etc. rarely are caught in the act since it's a lot of luck on being there right when it happens because the criminal has time to escape. Wouldn't you pick a crime that your chances of getting caught are low? That's why bank robberies are rare - low pay-off and high risk. Plus, some cops have it out for bikers (and truckers). Not saying it's right, just a fact. Idiots span all sorts of career fields - doctors, mechanics and especially lawyers. ha! I've been pulled over and questioned like I was a thug only to see the look on their face when they realize I'm a cop. I don't let it bother me because you can't fix stupid and technically they are doing their job. I've caught a lot of "real" criminals (wanted murderers, rapists, child molesters, etc. from enforcing "stupid" laws like one headlight out. Our legislators that we elected make the laws as stupid as they are sometimes. So, I suggest you lobby to have it taken off the books if you don't agree with it. Just my take from the other side.

Location: Description The poker run will be starting at the Rusty Bucket @ 400 Polaris Parkway to Rusty Bucket in Dublin to Rusty Bucket on Lane Ave.to Rusty Bucket in New Albany and then conclude at A.D. Farrow Sunbury location (I 71 and 37). Registration is from 0900-1030, kickstands up at 1100. All bikes will need to be in at Farrow's by 1500. We will have a band, food, and adult/kiddie beverages. Proceeds will benefit the New Albany Police Foundation and the Bennett family. Chief Bennett of Sunbury Police Department has a 14 yr old son that was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma (cancer). A lot of his treatments have been, and is being conducted in Washington DC. This has created a huge financial burden on this family. Tickets will be sold later this month. They will be $20.00 per rider and $10.00 per passenger. You do not have to ride to buy a ticket. The prizes will be as such: $400.00 best hand, $75.00 second, $25 third, and 50/50--raffle prizes. If you don't ride you can still buy a ticket and come and have fun with us at Farrow's.

Your kids are a little young for Vegas, in my book. I'm a Texan, so I'm partial to San Antonio - Fiesta Texas and SeaWorld. And the beach is only a few hours away.
