and i know there are multiple brands of ammo, and apparently some guns "like" some ammo more than others... what's a good cheap but reliable kind of 9mm ammo?
-
this site is newer than i imagined...

couple more questions. if i were to buy a gun, in order to transport it, the ammo has to be in a separate compartment, right? like gun in trunk, box in seat. how much would you estimate a day of firing eh, 100 rounds per rental gun, and probably renting 3-6 pistols? just to feel them out i guess. i made these numbers up as they seem normal ish.

i've heard of the armory in dayton. just might go there next week. :-) like the taurus slim.

just tried to look up rotating barrel, and fell on my face. all the other forums have this other language in them... it's hard to understand... lmao. you mean it rotates the bullet as it slides through? i thought that was in all guns after we stopped shooting balls at each other? gonna look up those other suggestions in a bit. differential equations final tomorrow, and lurking here and reddit has already killed my study time.

i looked at the storm actually. by "looked at" i mean, "clicked on pictures and said, 'oooohhhh'. " when i think of pistols, i think of beretta, but there are others. i just don't know what is good or not.

I decided I'm getting myself the bixeonon projectors and a small pistol for christmas. I'll be getting a ccw sometime after christmas, after i make sure I'm comfortable with myself. kinda a big deal for me, as i've only ever held a gun once before. it was one of my mom's boyfriend's competition rifles with a 10 lb butt. Anywho, If I'm eventually going to carry, I want it to be small and light. It'd go in my bike bag (assuming that's allowable. if not, then elsewhere.) But for the time being, I just want it in the sex drawer by the bed. I know I want it to be able to stop someone, but I also don't want it to intimidate me. Also don't want to pay a fortune for it or its ammo. I think 9mm should encompass all that? If i'm mistaken, please enlighten me. Also, I don't mind taking things apart, but I'd rather not be trying to fix it. Something simple, and reliable. Accuracy isn't as important, as I don't expect to be needing to snipe anybody. If I'm being threatened, they'll be next to me, and ease of drawing and firing would be my only concern. By small, I mean Beretta Nano small. But not Nano price. I don't have a small penis complex, so I don't need a big gun. But, this is all speculations of an admitted ignorant newb. There are so many types and brands of guns and ammo out there, I don't even know where to start. That's where I would like a good shove in the right direction... Thanks for reading.

after watching... i got very mad. then after watching the chick get smoked, i got very happy. i never said i like prii. though the new concept looks kinda cool lol. truthfully, i'd rather have a diesel than anything. especially my pos that is now officially spewing exhaust right under the cabin. can't say i wouldn't have pushed her away... i'm not cool with people disrespecting other people's kids.

"it takes a man to hit a bitch." I loled in class. I'm a tree hugger, but I'm also a realist. Until we make something that can put out the torque of an internal combustion engine, without emissions, meh. I haven't had a chance to watch yet, but it sounds awesome.

seems as though he's being a little more than pushed to do so.

well, i've asked around, and heard from the people that joe's is pretty preferential toward triumph owners.. heard a ton of good stuff about vista though. that or of course comp acc, which i completely left out of my call list today... woops. i'd take a day to do it myself, but i just don't have the time.
-
I've heard good things about them both. Joe's quoted a little cheaper for the labor that I'm wanting. Which is, a valve check, and a clutch look over/adjust. It's time for valves, and the clutch has always been adjusted at the max of its adjustment since I bought it this spring. And when I'm holding it in, in first, if I rev it up, it pulls forward. Maybe just needs adjusted at the lower end of the cable, or the plates/springs or something that I'm not too familiar with is wearing out. Anywho, who is gonna bullshit me less, not try to add on other services, and do it right?

Well, the battery card is lithium something or another. It'd last plenty longer than alkaline of the same size. My go pro is awesome, but helmet mounting gives a little more drag than I prefer on the highway. Something else to think about.

if i didn't love my bell so much, i'd be all over this. free bump for ya.

Oh wow... Searching in brooklyn, I'd expect that.

Aha! Genius! And the ballasts wouldn't draw power with out ground... They can't. I just remember when I put xenons on the 650, I had to keep in mind where I had the relay so it wouldn't continually drain the battery.

Gracias guys. the whole cop thing was in the back of my mind, but I doubt I'd ever run in the first place. Nonetheless, twould be cool to be able to stealth it out for giggles. I'm not too familiar with switches though, but I think I'd have to find a switch with 3 pairs of leads. Do they make such a thing? I searched for a triple pole single or double throw, but didn't find much...

Sitting here on a cold concrete floor at work, daydreaming about riding, and I had an idea. I plan to install bixenon projectors this winter, and I also plan to do track days sometime with this bike. (when I have money, that is) anywho, I know you're supposed to either unplug or tape off your lights. is there any reason why one, couldn't install a switch, maybe near the fuse box, under the seat, which would simply cut power to the brake lights, signals, and ballasts/projectors? That would make it a lot simpler for people.

Mk. So yours is sanded on the rear as well?
-
Probably the oily residue on the visor. There was a thread last year with a lot of good info... I use cat crap. It's awesome. A pain to do perfectly, but worth it. Webbikeworls has a ton of reviews as well. Also, be sure to wash your visor well, with a mild soap to get any oil off first. That in itself can improve your anti fog.
-
waddaya mean, you can tell the difference? from the edges? or are you talking about the tinting? i expect the tint to be noticeable lol. just curious as to the manufacturing process, and why the solfx visor looks sanded around the rear.
-
haven't been to this thread... but webbikeworld showed that it's a ton lighter than the scorpion. new question!: to anyone who has the solfx visor. i just ordered one from motorcycle-superstore, and it seems as though the edges were machined down. the regular visor has cast beveled smooth edges, where the new one you can tell it was sanded. it wasn't straight form a cast. kinda confusing post, i know. but, i'm wondering if this was originally made for another helmet or something. anyone else noticed this?

I'm just about at the maximum of layers now, but my torso stays warm. My legs could use some over pants and I'll be set. But with no heated gear, I wear boxers, t shirt tucked into gym shorts, flannel shirt tucked into jeans, thick hoody with balaclava tucked under, then my riding jacket and gloves. The "fly aurora" gloves insulate rather awesomely. My heated frame keeps my knees from falling off, but they take a while to feel normal after a half hour highway jaunt in the 30s.

Hey now, I'm 18-25, and I don't have a gun. But I do understand that a group of people that has more than one common interest will discuss both.. I'd be more interested in guns if I could stop myself from spending gun money on my bike. Doesn't mean I'm against the sub forum though.
