Worst case you do the trade and sell it if you end up wanting something different, right? Have someone you trust check the bike mechanically though.

Not to sound like a broken record but... have you looked at Triumphs? Unless you're expecting to be at 100+mph on a regular basis for hours on end the wind on the naked with flyscreen added hasn't been a huge issue, at least for me. The "anywhere anytime" torque of the triple engine is pretty damn fun in the twisties and oh god, the sound. Hell, I'd even suggest checking out the fz-09. People seem to love the engine on that bike. The stock suspension sucks but that's pretty easily remedied. The seating position is more upright than my striple but it has about 10 more horsepower. Price ain't bad either, even brand new.

I've heard Ap parts are hard to come by because of limited distribution but I don't know about reliability. That said, I was looking at Aprilias before finally settling on the striple, perdy bikes.

I'm gonna look for this dude on killboy when I get home and see what his body position looks like. Wish I was tactless enough to take out my phone and start snapping photos of the guy but why kick someone when they're down (about 20 feet off a cliff, quite literally).

At this point I'm 99% sure I will be at the race this year. I'm still trying to decide if I want to camp or grab a hotel room somewhere... Indy can get kind of pricy downtown and I'm not sure if I want to drop $700+ on a hotel room just for myself for the weekend. JW is fully booked already, Crowne Plaza has rooms available starting at $350/night ($200/night normally...) so the KOA might be calling my name.
