+1 what i dont understand is why they switched the 3800 to a supercharger unlike the old 3.8 with a turbo? As far as the trannys go, i heard from many reviews that they are great, one of the best shifting for auto any way.

Exactly, they were great motors. It was a very popular motor, it was in the monte carlos, impalas, v6 camaros, gran prix( GTP sc as well), buick regals, and many others. I didnt even know they had it back in the mid 70's. Heck it made it thru my girlfriends driving so it must be something special, and my "highschool hotrod" days. I beat my friend in his Iroc Z28 with it, and several eclipses. Now i drive it like im 60 years old(no joke). Ive been thinking about turning this car into a GN tribute, all black and possibly try to turbo the engine. or just buy a GS(supercharged).

Ok i drive a Buick Regal with the 3.8 V6 Series II motor in it, absolutly love it. Loved it so much that i was considering to buy a new buick. However i noticed after looking into the new buicks that have 4 bangers in them, i was disapointed to say the least. I understand that the economy is down and gas is expensive, but they couldnt make it at least an option? They've had the 3.8 in the Grand Nationals, thats how long that i know of that they've had them out. At least the 05-09 Lacrosse's still look good and have the 3.8

Brian, i never said i was an amazing rider, yes i did mention ama but not that i was professional or anything. Also i never "passed" cars in the snow, i meant that as in those are the only cars i seen on the road going the opposite direction. Maybe you would understand me better if you met me sometime, so come out to a CSBA ride sometime...

i was waiting for you to comment stt brian, it wasnt inches of snow more like 1/2 inches. if you want to think i pushed it all to way to walmart go for it, and congrats on racing at grattan in the snow, im so proud of you and if your going to dog me for riding a certain day, check the date/day i posted and said i rode. not really braggin, anyone can do it. I understand that DS bikes are different from street bikes, drive it like theres SNOW on the ground and all is well. I was riding thru town at about 9oclock being that i work 3rd, so i passed like two cars, not weaving thru traffic in cbus. As far as my tires im running bridgestone battleaxe BT-021

ok the reason i did this i because even in the snow i still have fun. i originally came off dirtbikes that i rode year round so this isnt really new to me. hate all you want but this is fun to me, and im only going around town not riding at high speeds. i dont winterize, i ride thru it.

This was my ride to work when it snowed wednesday.

i plan to ride all winter, but i need to change the chain and sprockets in the near future. Other than that its good to go until i possibly sell it in the spring depending on money.

well im still out on the kat and its a blast, sure its snowing, sure people look at me like im crazy, but its fun. heck ive had it up to 70mph when the snow was blowing across the road.

they are for cars, but i can put them on a bike. I have one in my gfs car and change my bikes to the car when i drive it. Im not out to get rich, just realized that i could interchange them between vehicles. Since i like OR, $50 each. maybe thats a little better. who knows might even trade for something.

my parents use to have them and never had them. They would still have them if they offered service where they moved to. it might just be the area your in or it has a problem that the techs havent caught yet.

I have to 2 whistler XTR-690se radar detectors for sale, i havent used them other than turn them on to see that they work. I am selling them for $70 each, paid 150 each, and msrp is over $200. I also have one installed on my bike with a power switch, so i can install it on yours if you want me to. I can also install a cig lighter with usb port if interested as well.
