  1. Fire places dont usually get creosote build up because so much of the heat goes up the chimney. Not saying it's impossible just not as likely vs a wood stove or insert. Ive burnt prob 15 cords of wood through my fireplace in the last 12 years and I took the cap off the chimney last summer and she was as clean as a whistle.
  2. Ok i get that but a brotha stll has to live with in his means.Wish i could spare the jack or it would be a great memory. But I'm sure a few of those stories the part where their "truck got repo(ed) a month later because they couldn't repay the title loan they took out to get there"...got left out.
  3. Cathy is going to be so pissed when she finds out your taking me. [emoji1]
  4. The 2014 ones are the $300 and the leftover originals are less.
  5. $200 here...http://www.motostorm.it/en/details.asp?articolo=936
  6. Score ! http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/8878/i/alpinestars-web-gore-tex-boots---2014 I might order another pair now to keep on the shelf incase they discontinue them again. Damn you Sam. .lol EDIT: Nevermind, "no longer available"
  7. We have the exact same ones
  8. Not a racing boot but i absolutely love my A-stars Web gore touring boots. Most comfortable things I have ever had on my feet. They discontinued them for a year or two but then brought them back when so many people bitched about it. Bought mine on clearance for $189 and wish I had bought both pair they had. Here is a link to them on Revzilla but maybe you could find them cheaper http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/alpinestars-web-gore-tex-boots
  9. Here was my answer to reduce propane and not having to use my my fireplace. Yes it still uses propane but now I am zone heating at 99% efficiency. And I'm not pumping 15% of my heat out a chimney and not heating non essential parts of the house. I went from using 1000 to 1200 gallons a year to using only 600 gallon during last year's harsh winter and I've only used 100 gallons since September, and we cook with propane too. Only other heat source i use is a electric oil filled heater in one bed room on the opposite end of the house. My house is a not insulated very well and its 1700sqft. I do not use my furnace anymore. . Sorry for the crappy pic, just ones i had on my phone.
  10. I NO KID, what time should I show up Mick...[emoji12]
  11. My daughter helps a local girl scout troop for her school project and that's all they do too, it's more of a gossip circle for the moms..lol
  12. Here is the best deal you will find on them with free shipping. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=221630843591&alt=web
  13. This is what I use, as a bonus its a 2.1 amp charger. I ran the wire under my tank to my xgrip phone holder on my handlebar. Keeps charged all day long, and that's with using GPS and streaming music with occasional phone call through my sena They aren't just released I've had mine for over a year and a half.
  14. Also keep on mind of type of seat you want too. Mine is a sport style seat if I bought another one I'd opt for a touring style because my ass never moves in the saddle.
  15. Russells day long it the top of the charts but you will pay dearly for them. I've heard Corbin is a bit on the firm side but some like that. Baldwin saddles make very comfortable seats but again they are pricey. I currently have a Baldwin sport with gel inserts but find on the long haul I still need the help of my Air hawk Type R seat pad. Which for just over $100 the air hawk might be a good option for you too
  16. The Teton's and Yellow stone interest me, but I've done the black hills 2 yrs in a row now. So I'll prob pass on this trip for somthing new.
  17. Your price is accually about half of the going rate. But I just can't believe the insane price people will pay to watch a football game. I love football and I love the Buckeyes, but I'll be dammed if I would pay thousands on tickets and travel to watch a 3 hour game. They talked to a guy on the news thatbsaid he has around $8000 in travel aeangments and tickets for him and his wife to go. That's nuts
  18. My wife has a 1100 v star and even that thing screams for a taller gear on the freeway.
  19. Yup that's a no brainer on those bikes, stay off the freeway for the long haul. I'd take 500 miles of 2 lane over 300 miles of freeway on either of those any day.
  20. I don't even remember being in a chapter. I just remember getting my patch and certificate that said I was accepted into the Eagle Scouts in the arrowhead division of the BSA. Amd that was it, I stuck around for a another year or so helping the younger ones till I started working full time at 17 and couldn't attend anymore due to time restraints. My mom still has all my stuff stored away somewhere, she keeps asking if I want it and I tell her I'm sure it's safe where ever you have it.
  21. As far as weather, March will be chilly, especially in the mountains. If you don't have proper touring gear you will need to layer up and pay special attention to your hands and feet. And layers mean nothing if you get wet, will need to plan accordingly.
  22. All depends on the bike. On my TL 350 miles was all I ever did in a day and that was a long day. Now on my C14 I've done 1100 miles and survived, but a 600 mile day is a walk in the park on that bike and I've done it several times.
  23. dont know if ths is a good excuse but i just bought a new touring jacket that i havent even used yet. And if i loose too much it will be too big on me.
  24. We have the Turbo Fire disks that a friend gave us after she lost 80 lbs with it, she swears it will kick our ass if we used it. I might get motivated to try.
