  6. Why are the good rides always planned on my wife's days off:huh:
  7. Had to share one of the guys I work with put these on my lift truck the other night
  8. Still leaning towards the Quest. And as usual Nate quoted me a kick ass price well under the $300 mark for a matte or solid. I need to get to I.P. and try them on this weekend.
  9. The front stand kinda works on my C14 but it rubs the fender where the ABS parts are and im not liking that.
  10. yup ive got to get a lift stand for my wifes vstar and $35 covers half of one so that works for me.
  11. First to chime in im going to Iron Pony and harbor freight I think on Friday..if not Friday I will Saturday..when is good for you?
  12. ive got a set too.... front and rear with 40/50% left ill give away also. Kept it as a spare. Sold the Vee. New owner didn't want it. Free or it's going to tire heaven. ...bla bla bla
  13. Ok since I no longer have a bike that these will work on im going to sell them on the cheap to get them out of my way. Rear stand is a harbor freight spool stand that comes with a set of spools, its aluminum light weight and works great. The front is a cyclecat universal stand that cradles the bottom of the fork tubes and is super sturdy. I will be in Columbus Friday or Saturday so I can bring them down with me for easy delivery or pick up in the Westerville area. Plus ill throw in a almost new can of PJ1 Clear chain lube, since I have no bike with a chain anymore either. Both stand and Chain lube for $35. If you look it up the cheapest you can buy the HF one with coupon is $30 plus $8 for the spools and im not sure what the front one sells for but I would guess at least $50+, the chain lube is like $8 for a can, so this I a about a $90-$100 value all for only $35
  14. Guess i should add this tid bit of info. I currently rock a scorpion exo-400 and other than a lot if wind noise I have not real complaints with it. It fits well, air flow is awesome (even in summer I never open the vents all the way)and I love everclear shields. When I had the strom I was actually going to get the exo 900 mod. So unless I can get one that is a vast improvement over what I currently have ill get keep rockin it.
  15. Yes BT ready is another thing i would like to have. The volume I listen while riding is no louder than if I weren't, if anything maybe lower because I like to hear my engine and other traffic around me.
  16. I wanted to thank all my OR / FB peeps for voting for my friends daughter in the IP ride to work photo contest. She's a great kid and works hard and is a dandy little rider too. She's headed down Thursday to claim her $25 gift card and wants to buy a tail or tank bag with it. Thanks again guys and gals you made her week.
  17. Yea I've heard that too, also heard arai is pretty loud
  18. I do wear plugs when i dont have my tunes playing, i just dont like them.
  19. Since im back on a sportier bike and i dont want to put a huge wind screen on it im looking for the quietest lid i can find. I really dont like wearing ear plugs and my MP3 plugs only block so much. Most of the noise to my helmet on my bike comes from the shield up, i know they say most of the time it comes from the neck opening but thats not my case. The mendium size touring shield on my bike block the neck area on me. So, after some online reviews and articals ive read so far iv seen the the Shoei Quest has the best reviews for being quiet. Lets hear it guys and gals what are you thoghts and recomendations on a quiet lid. I'd like to make a list to head to the pony this weekend to do some trying on then ill give Nate a line to get me the best price. Dont want to break the bank either i know there are $800 lids out there that im sure are superior but im not dropping that kind of dough, like to keep it in the $300 ish range.
