  1. I lived in Glendale, AZ for 20 years - grew up in that car "scene" thanks to my dad. No matter what part of town you are in, theres always a huge meet within 5-10 miles. Pavilions is definitely the biggest - I went every other week or so.

Also lived in Tucson, AZ while doing my 4 years at UofA - didnt know other people here on CR have been there too! Good times had down there... Not as many meets though. I used to find stuff to do on azawd.org

  2. Use ebay for buying phones. I am probably going to go to sprint mostly because verizon won't carry the galaxy s2.

I have a galaxy s2 with sprint as my work phone... the phone itself is alright - and quite fast, but the network sucks giant balls. I find myself using my personal verizon phone to get network coverage for calls and data when my work phone cant get reception. and like others have said... sprint is very slow online, the 4g rarely works for me, and when it does its slower than verizon 3g.

  3. I realize you said you dont have a second computer, but if you do locate one this may help you out. I have a laptop or two I could part with for cheap - send me a PM if you want.

The links provided below are directly from Microsoft, so I dont see why your PC at work would be wrong for this use.

Make sure you download the disc that matches what is written on the sticker on your computer. Most people will need Windows 7 Home Premium.

32-bit Windows 7 Home Premium ISO

64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium ISO

If you need software to burn these ISO files to a disc you can get ImgBurn which is free.

Now you should have your windows disc.

  4. Yeah, RAM is a cheap upgrade that makes a nice difference. I dont want to post anything for sale until I get the required number of posts, but I am pretty active on another columbus subaru forum... Send me a PM if you want help finding a laptop I might be able to help you out.
  5. pickups plus, thats in hilliard right?

i have not checked with them, but i definitely will. would be nice if i could pick them up locally, and not have to pay for the shipping :)

They have a location up 23N as well, and now knowing they carry weather tech I am considering picking some up myself. I have seen them in the 02-07 and 08-11 wrx/sti's and the fitment is really nice. Also a friend of mine just picked some up for his 2012 jeep wrangler - like the other mats, they fit well and seem like a much better option than anything else I've checked out.

  6. I have had good experiences at the powder room as well. They guys behind the counter were always easy to talk to and one younger guy who works there on the weekends took a lot of time showing me many different guns and whatnot. I go there at least every month or so when I have some extra $$$ for range time.
  7. Part it out. You will make a killing

+1 to this. If you are willing to put forth the effort of tear down, etc on your own, you could drive it till it doesnt run anymore then get money for parts. I wouldnt count on this for a DD though... more like a risky project haha

  8. My dad has a 97 1500 ram that has over 180,000 and never had a mechanical issue outside of normal service items. Cant relate to the rust issue... he lives in AZ. father in law had an 04 f150 that had decent power, but didnt ride as much like a truck as the dodge did. it was much softer, less feedback, etc.

Make sure to post up what you pick up, Im sure anything that has been maintained properly will suit your needs.
