I'm a lifelong resident of the Rt 7 / Gallia area. Don't go more than 5-7 over or they WILL get you down here. We're always amazed at the speeds you can get away with elsewhere in Ohio. And, as far as the concealed carry, they would probably be more surprised if you DIDN'T carry! I mean, doesn't everyone have a gunrack on their sissy bar? :-P

Have you checked out garagejournal.com. There is all kind of info on everything related to garages/workshops. If you have a window in your garage, you could try a window mount heatpump-like a window air conditioner but it heats & cools!

I had Sargent Cycle in Florida redo a seat for me. Worked good but since then I started doing it myself. Sargent sells a super firm foam that works really good. You can buy a hunk of foam from them and do it yourself. Pull the staples out if your seat, remove cover, then glue new foam on top of old with contact cement. You can do rough shaping of the foam with an electric kitchen knife then when you get close to the shape that feels right, do final shaping and smoothing with a sanding disk on your electric drill. I've done 4 seats now and the more you do it the better you get. If your cover no longer fits, an auto upholsterer can sew up a new cover for you.

If your bike uses a flasher relay (some have it programmed into the bike's ECM), just pull out the flasher & see if it is a 2 or 3 prong flasher. Take it to Autozone and get a new one that says it's led compatible (they're in the same isle as the replacement bulbs). I just did that for my daughter's Buell & it works fine & only cost like $15.

Have used a 3 head Norelco rotary for 40 years. Never blade shave & have tried other electrics but always go back to my trusty Norelco. Buy a new one every 5 to 10 years & rarely ever buy new heads. No razor burn & close shave.

Do not buy any European cars unless you want to empty your wallet on maintenance costs. Do your homework & look at reviews. We had a Mini Cooper for my daughter. It was a great little car to drive but oh the expense!! Traded it in on a Honda Fit. In general, stick with Japanese, Korean or American if you are tring to save on maintenance coats.

I spent 8 years at OSU during the Woody years. Been a Buckeye since I was old enough to say "Go Bucks!" The one good thing that hopefully will come out of this can be summed up in 3 words, "FIRE GENE SMITH!" Why the man who is ultimately responsible for this debacle still has his job is beyond belief.

I've done several of mine, the hardest (& most expensive part) is finding firm enough foam. My first project was a passenger pillion for my wife. I bought some "firm" foam online, shaped it with an electric kitchen knife & sanding disc on my electric drill. Turned out nice but after sitting on it a few minutes it basically collapsed. I finally bought some foam from Sargent Cycle in Florida (their closed cell "Atomic" foam. Great stuff but VERY expensive. Also, if you need to glue layers of foam together, use some contact cement (like you glue laminate to countertops). Good luck & if you find a cheap source of GOOD FIRM foam, please post.

You can see that every year at the Indy 500! Motorcycle cop escorting the dignitary cars to the speedway down 16th ave, standing on the seat, waving their arms. Their drill team then puts on a show at the track. Those guys are nutz!

A lifelong southern Ohio resident (except for 8 years in Columbus @ OSU). A good ride is always just around the corner in this part of the state! I've been riding about 13 years now and just bought my first touring bike. Planning on some big rides next year. Ride safe!
