  3. no, those stay on my phone and or in a hidden file on the comp, dont want chicks trolling my computer and finding shit lol i pull over when they are going the other way cuz it is only for a few seconds anyways and when my grandma died in february it was nice to see people doing that and yes, hence the reason i didnt want to stay behind them lol
  4. lolz^ definitely felt like a creeper snatching this from facebook
  5. I was riding to this chicks house today and on my way I ran into a 15 car funeral precession on the highway. It was a 3 lane divided highway (or do you call it a 6 lane?) and they were on the middle lane going like 55mph when the speed limit is 65. Everyone was slowing down which I understood but most of the people were also just staying behind them and creating a traffic jam. I slowed down from like 80 to 60 and got into the left lane and slowly passed the whole precession and then once I was past the front car I got back up to 80 and continued my ride. There was only 1 other person that I saw who passed them also which made me wonder if I was in the wrong for passing, I mean I can justify it as people have places to go and creating a traffic jam on a 3 lane highway does not sound like a good idea. On a regular undivided 2 lane road I always stay back or find a side road to take to get in front but what happened today I thought was ok. What do you think?
  6. The links all seem to move freely, it's just really dirty, I don't see any rust on the ones I have cleaned so far so I may get that brush and give it a shot.
  7. it really wanst that much work, it took me a day and $30 to get it back together and working right

  9. It is if you wanna possibly save $300, that's how much it was gonna cost with parts and labor but doing that fixed them and now that's $300 in my pocket lol

  11. yeah, it sat outside so it took a lot of cleaning and stuff to get it looking good and working right, had Check Engine lights, low fluids, missing relays, leaking forks and fairings in pieces, well i got all that fixed and the only thing left to do is the chain. i was thinking about getting a black chain to match the wheels and i wanted to black out the rear sets so what is a good chain to go with? i am looking to stay with the 108 link 525 chains because the sprocket is still good but if there is a good deal on the 520 chains with sprockets i would consider going that route.
  12. no, like i said before, i cleaned a few links to the point they look new so it is not a black chain, i also just did the pulling thing and it didnt move at all so i think the chain is still good.
  13. Well what about the soaking thing, how hard is it to take off a chain? Cuz I think it will be easier to clean it that way. How many miles is a chain usually good for? Cuz I might just replace it.
  14. no, im talking like my chain is BLACK, not just some mud on it, i mean i am about to the point of taking a wire brush to it cuz it is so dirty.
  15. so the chain on my new bike is pretty much black and it is hard to get all the crud off in some spots, what is the best way to get this thing back to looking new? i have heard take it off and soak it in old motor oil over night then it should come right off in the morning. right now i am just using kerosine on a rag and scraping it off but its hard to get to a lot of spots. a few links i have gotten shined up to look new but most of it is still dirty. any suggestions?
  16. yeah, you take some 35mm film and slide it between the fork tube and the seal and it gets all the dirt and gunk out and it seals right back up. you can also use notecards or business cards and there is also a tool out there specifically for this. my forks were leaking like a mofo but after doing this there isnt a single drop of oil on the forks after a ride. i have also heard of people putting a ring or masking take or electrical tape around the tube right above the seal and just pimping the forks so the seal crosses the tape and pulls the stuff off.
  17. That sucks but I've been there a couple times. Having prices left over after a repair is so frustrating! I usually figure it out when I'm cleaning up and find a part just laying on the ground, then I have to decide if it's important enough to put it in or if I can just say screw it lol.
  18. Us born American Indian, German, Irish and something else I think Drive japanese ride british
  19. My bike didn't come with mirrors so I just bought some from a bike shop but I don't like how chunky they are, I'm just looking for daytona mirrors or any sport bike mirrors that will fit that have the skinny stalks.
  20. i dont think a blow up mattress would keep you from getting raped, in fact it is like a portable bed to make raping more convenient lol
  21. So I ended up doing the film in the fork seal trick and it seems to have worked but I'll keep those in mind for the future.
