Present Day North Korea - Impressively Unimpressive
Ahmadi6490 replied to spankis's topic in Dumpster
Very old school and unorthodox... Less than 50% of the North Korean population know a human has ever been on the moon. I would HATE to live there. -
I bought a few and got quite a bit too many at the gun show. I have 2 for sale if anyone needs an extra or wants one to experiment on. They appear to be post war stocks, comes with butt pad, hand guard piece, and barrel bands. Still has cosmoline on them, one has been arsenal repaired (did quite a nice job too). I'll get pics up asap, both have a nice grain pattern and have plenty of stock markings/proofs. Complete M91/30 wood stock $25 each

Woooah they had them today?!?! I called and they said they were out a few days ago. I paid $199 for mosin and 440 round spam can

Went to Ohio Valley Lancaster last week and they had a crate of mosin nagants, picked this one mostly for wood but it was also a hex receiver. It's a 1932, was in great overall shape needed some bluing touched up and de-cosmolined. Wet sanded it and put a few coats of clear coat on it, came out great I think. I also re-blued the metal buttstock, did it with Birchwood cold blue...I don't expect a lot of wear and tear on this gun. I hear Brownells cold blue is great stuff I may try it out on the next mosin I get. http://www.freeimagehosting.net/m521z http://www.freeimagehosting.net/efbx1 http://www.freeimagehosting.net/pz2ja http://www.freeimagehosting.net/b3vrz http://www.freeimagehosting.net/q6zd8

Yeah that sucks I can't imagine how pissed you would be. Getting screwed over sucks; I just sold an item on eBay sent it in a tube and watched the clerk at usps tape both sides. The buyer got my package and it was empty, there was a note from usps saying the post office never sealed the tube ends. But I watched them do it myself, dumbass me didn't put any insurance on it. Had to refund the buyer his $$$ out of my pocket, along with ebay and shipping fees to my expense

Very true and I share the same opinion. I was also tossing around the idea of just getting another gun lol. I just wanted to get a little somethin somethin to make it feel more personal. My budget is going to be under $300 so the work is going to be very light. I was even thinking of sending it to smith and wesson's performance center and have them do some light machine engraving but i'm sure they would have outrageous rates. They make a mean team of hand engravers but i'm sure it's $1200+, machine would be less and laser i'm guessing would be the cheapest. http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Category4_750001_750051_757959_-1_757780_757751_image
