I'm inclined to agree with Drew^ They aren't bursting with character and aren't exactly super exciting, but they'll cruise at 80 all day and maintenance is super smooth. All she needs is oil and tires.
Welcome man. You have quite a plethora of riders in the greater cincinnati area. Northern Kentucky also has some of the best roads in a 250 mile radius!
TuneECU is pretty awesome once you figure it out. Play with it a lot BEFORE you hook up your bike. Get comfortable with it all, what all the spreadsheets/numbers/ratios mean, etc. Its a fantastic built-in feature for Triumphs that more bikes should've come from the factory with.
The Qwest is definitely for oval heads. I'm very oval headed, and the Qwest fit very comfortably. I've got an RF1100 now, same shape and very comfortable, with a little more airflow.
