  1. I played airsoft there as a kid. It looks like an awesome place for getting dirty.
  2. Here's a 'feel-good' story (Compared to some of your freaky ones..) My grandmother (mother's mother) passed had passed away while I was still a kid. A couple of days before passing, she told mum she would come and check up on her as a butterfly, and make sure all was well. The day after she had passed, my mother went to retrieve the mail. As she opened the mailbox, a butterfly flew out of the box, landed on her for a moment, then flew off on its way. I was a summer camp counselor throughout high school. Without fail, late each summer I would have a large (4-5" wingspans) butterfly or moth land on me and stay put for a while. The kids would touch, poke and pet it, and they would just sit there. The last summer I worked there, a bright yellow and olive-brown moth landed on me, largest moth I'd ever seen. Its wings were larger than my hand. This moth clinged right to my chest for well over an hour as we hiked about. Eventually as we walked past a pond, it flew off into the reeds.
  3. Clean Z man. We'll have to rip up oregonia some come spring.
  4. Starting to come together nicely. You might even be able to ride it this weekend!
  5. You've got some decent roads near the dayton area; check out Oregonia for example. Also out west/southwest you've got some fun. For extended twisty rides, its worth heading down to NKY. 100 miles or so of twisties, or a lot more depending on how long you feel like riding.
  6. A hammer/screwdriver is how most people break them free to turn them in the first place; I've never had a problem. Remember, try adjusting compression on your shock before the spring (if it has a compression adjustment). If you do end up adjusting the spring, tighten them down again! (oops...)
  7. Your R1 is my favorite stock color scheme of any bike.
  8. I may be down there with a bunch of friends around that time. If so, we will definitely stop by for the hangout.
  9. Those are just the clip-ons sitting on a table. they're two separate pieces that bolt to the triple tree. So imagine an extra ~12" between those. They just look strange sitting right next to each other.
  10. You'll be all ready come spring man. Edit: can you take a close-up picture of the fiberglass crack? I might be able to help you out.
  11. Is it an FZR 600? If so, I may be interested in the frame if its titled.
  12. The big dude on the sportbike looks like he's just got a squared-off sportbike tire? Is that a car tire? Tread doesn't look like so.
  13. That car tire is flexing a lot more than I thought it was, just like swingset said.
  14. ME880s are treating my shadow very well. Bike runs out of lean angle well before the tires' grip. Haven't looked at load ratings, and sizing could be troublesome.

What are the first things you'd mod on it?
  16. Sounds like a lot of work for a totaled bike. Unless you can hear it run and know its a strong running engine/tranny, not worth it.
  17. Aww! If it had a v8 I'd have already bought it off you!
