  1. Yeah, I agree, I think it may be a little too low. I was trying to even out the spacing around the brackets. I plan on making a small windscreen to cover the guage and bracket, so I'll wait until I do that before deciding if it should move or not. Tonight, putting fresh filter and oil in, a little petro, and see if it will fire up. If all goes well, I'll get the carbs synced. Hopefully my brake lines are waiting on me when I get home. And just found out, the longer caliper bolts I ordered are on back order until next week, of course. Still need to wire in the front turn signals and headlight. So until then, I'll be able to fire it up and look at it.
  2. It will run this weekend! Please ignore my messy garage. I can't believe I've let it get that bad either!
  3. Yeah, that's my buddy! He follows me around like a dog.
  4. Just a mock up, but it's getting there! Sub-frame is getting welded Tuesday. Brake lines should arrive Tues or Wed. Should be smooth sailing after that!
  5. Those are 2" dia. PVC pipe painted. Inside dia. fit perfect over the forks for a snug fit. Got the idea from customfighters.com
  6. Well, it doesn't look like I'm going to meet my goal of having the bike back together by the end of the month. Maybe the middle of June, who knows. But, I did get the front end on. Workin on the header at the moment. Hopefully I'll get it and the radiator on by the end of the night. Then hopefully get the wiring harness back in and the rest of the little shit done by mid June.
  7. I didn't waist my time reading the whole thread, but 2 fulltime jobs and over a thousand posts in 2 months pretty much sums it up.
  8. Starting to look like a bike again!
  9. Little update. Got the frame done last night. Painted charcoal metallic. Still have to do the swing arm and subframe. My brother is currently pressing the steering stem in the new lower triple. Hopefully, things will start going back together soon! I still have my goal set for the end of the month to have it together and as of now, I don't see a reason why that won't happen. Anyway, here's the frame. Made my own ram air covers out of a 2" PVC coupler cut in half, two 3" PVC test caps (I have know idea what these are for. Just found them in the PVC section at Lowes.), and some stainless steel screen I got from work.
  10. On a different note, I bought a hooker one night and her air box was clogged. I requested a new one from the pimp and he just laughed and told me to go fuck myself. Not very good customer service, in my opinion.
  11. Silly women! Just remember, we have the guns when you decide to bring that knife instead of our sammich!
  12. Wait, is Exarch our new Ringo! 618 post in a month?! How the hell did I not see this?
  13. Welcome! No cruising here, only guns, hot chicks, and bird flapping arms from blowing the doors off of Mustangs while riding our CBR 1100xx, looking for 1.85$ on the highway. That's how we roll!

Welcome! By the way, I always wanted to have a threesome with your wife and Wilma in your car. Just sayin!
  15. Yeah, what this guy said.^^^^^^^ I think all you have to do is post an ad in the paper or something like that, giving warning that if the stuff is not removed by a certain date, they give up ownership of it. I'll need you smart people to clarify that. Me not so bright......
  16. Umm, what am I not seeing here? All I see is a bunch of fags......
  17. Got the motor cleaned and painted. Cleaned it with kerosene. Actually almost didn't want to paint it but I was pretty set on painting it black, so black it is.
  18. I definitely will! Once it's together and all the bugs are worked out, that's the first big ride I plan to do.
  19. Productive weekend! I got the bike completely torn down. Next up is to strip the frame and clean the motor, both for some fresh paint.

    Break out Ride

I hate cooking. If it's not in a box in the freezer, chances are, I ain't makin it.
  21. Sweet man! That would be cool! Right now, I have the stock master cylinder. I've heard, I should upgrade it, but I'm going to use it for now and see how it feels. I don't track and I'm sure I'll be pretty conservative on the street from now on. I don't need anymore stainless steel in my body.
  22. Thanks everyone. Yeah, I've been checking out Customfighters for a while now, longer than I've had this bike actually. Sure is blue, 03-04 front. Not as good as the 05 and newer, but better than the conventionals I took off. Already have the longer SS brake line. Looks like I'm going to have to buy longer for the front too. Also, probably going to need longer clutch and throttle cables. Just going to wait till I get the bars on, so I get an accurate measurement. I have the wave rotors from the 05 and newer, but the calipers are 03-04 so I'll have to buy or make spacers for the mounting bolts. I'm currently struggling with a debate in my head of whether or not I should drop the motor from the frame and prep them properly, or half assing it without dropping it. It's just so much more work and time. I just want to ride, but I know I should do it right.
