They will also teach you in that class that every turn is different. Push/pull is great in when doing city street type of turns, and the lean is better on like county roads. I think your over thinking everything you do. Your still a beginner and its natural that you think these things and "are not keeping up with your buddies". If you were to get in a nascar car and race tony stewart, think your could keep up? I mean the cars are the same and your just turning left, but he has been doing it longer. Same as being on a bike. I was the same when i started. Dont get frustrated just keep racking up the miles and you will improve

Sorry about your loss. I hate to say it but like alot of people have said before, i doubt you will find that bike intact. Without the title the bike cant be driven on the street. If it was to be used for a track bike, then the bike wouldnt even look the same as when you had it, people change things for track bikes. Odds are its prolly sitting in someones garage or shed in pieces or still intact waiting for time to pass before they do something with it. Ebay is prolly where most of it will end up. Again sorry about your loss, couldnt imagine that if mine was gone. I assume you dont have theft ins on the bike? Hope you can come up with money to get another one day as it seems it was your life.

I took the class through Harley Davidson, $295. Alot i know, but i was in the same situation you are and i didnt want to wait. There was a kid that showed up with a helmet that was from the 70's and had next to nothing for padding and they let him use it. Just use a helmet, gloves(mechanics ones would work, someone had those too) jeans and a long sleeve shirt or any type of jacket would work. Theses classes are designed for new riders so they dont expect for everyone to have all the PROPER gear. Just cant have any skin exposed, and ankle high boots are a must, cant have sneakers.

Like everyone says practice is the best instructor. Parking lots are great for somethings but getting out on the road is the best teacher. You will learn so much. Just take your time and try to focus on what YOU are doing. Be aware of your surrounds but if an ahole is tailgating you because they think you are going to slow, wave them by. I had a dbag in a dully tailgate me and another rider for about a mile yesterday. There was a car in front of us going a little slow, he eventually passed all three of use. not trying to scare you but these things happen, just like being in your car. Just have fun. Even if you have to ride by yourself cuz your friends think you should be better then do it, nothing wrong with it. Sometimes it better that way cuz you can focus on what your doing without the peanut gallery making jokes. Just ride and break through the fear, and ride safe. If i lived closer i would help you out. Im sure you can find someone on here to help you out, just ask, thats what were here for

you should get your own building, i bet the people at the driving range and the guys trying to sell cars just love you having your shop there.

I wave, only if the other person waves first. Guess its just being nice. I understand why people do it, but when your on a sportbike you really on get the waves from other sportbike guys. It doesnt bother me to wave or not to wave, guess im just a nice guy.
