  1. I will kick in $50 if I can get discounted airfare and a loaner bike to throw around Awesome complex, how I wish my last name was Gates
  2. Congrats on the newfound fun bike. Honestly, I've been eyeballing a friends Roadstar Warrior up for sale.....but its more muscle bike than a standard cruiser and a brute in it's own wright. But I just can't do without my hyper-behemoth.....so my dream lust Connie 14 seems to be the ONLY answer for me ....someday anyway....
  3. I'll take cold vs. rain.....we have twice as many days to score decent riding weather, so that means the odds are half as much against us right?
  4. Nice.....miss the old dirty Atlantic coast. Lived with my father in Edgewater/New Smyrna area for a few summers back in the late 80's, 3 blocks from the beach.....loved it. Looks like a blast! See any cars buried on Daytona beach from the tide coming in?
  5. Riding AND shooting....he's got a hell of a range berm that surely ate up a bunch of that soil from the pond
  6. I said icecream damnit! Women cannot be compared to coffee.....coffee is a NEED
  7. Your other half best be on board with it before any commitments are made to the employer, be shitty to need to sell your house and split the difference with an ex before starting over elsewhere just sayin... Edit - Oh, wait.....you said fiance'.....in that case, do it to it! I honestly have never done this, so I don't have any credible information to offer other than, Good luck!
  8. Tour out your SV! You have a perfectly capable specimen now, just improve it and ride more. 4k isn't much seat time, we do that every year and a trackday would really help you tap into hidden potential you've yet to discover. Dont discredit that twin, its a great machine
  9. I like my women like I like my icecream.....sweet, frigid, and gives me an instant headache
  10. Damn, sorry to hear about this Brandt....Jen just told me. I had no idea, haven't been on the forum much today, and I didn't catch the news lately. January was a rough month for me for quite some time back in the 00's, lost my Dad Jan 19th '99 and was lost without him for several years, especially around that time of year. I got married on his Birthday to help give me other reasons to celebrate. Would be nice to commemorate those you've lost and visit that now and then when times like these are getting to ya. I planted a tree in a special place with some of my Dad's ashes. I used to visit the spot a lot ( Greenville Falls ) but haven't been in quite some time. Chin up bro, like you said you just never know how much time you've got......and you know I'm always here for ya man
  11. I think this is code for ( I'm pretty sure it'll whoop some ass, just can't prove it just yet ) It'll be a handful when it's done at any rate
  12. Seemed to be headed that direction, huh:D
  13. That does suck. You and the bike all good to continue with little wallet damage?
  14. Sorry, I put up the wrong link first for the free service manual pdf file.....fixed it.
  15. In case you don't have one, here's a link to download free Ninja service manuals. Definitely handy to have for times like these... http://everythingninja.com/service-manuals/ And if you've got $600 to spare, plan to keep the bike, and very serious about EFI, check this out http://www.ecotrons.com/Kawasaki_Ninja_250cc_EFI_kit.html

    shells and sauce

    What? No shells n cheese??
  17. Watch for white lines on the carb bowl screws, some factories paint mark fasteners and they'll know if its been broke open. I'm thinking if it's killing the engine, it would be something mainline between the tank and carbs OR spark related OR fuel itself. If 1 carb was clogged, the other would still carry the engine but run like a dumpster, right? Edit - 250R's have a fuel pump? If so, check its fuse? Is it cycling?
  18. All I've read is they are typically lean from the factory ( in most cases ) in stock form, thats why the needle washer shim mod was so popular, easier than jetting but a noob fix if ya ask me. But it can handle a slip-on and keep the mix close enough. I thought the same way you do about an AF and the slip-on leaning it out. Those plugs do look fouled though, lean condition is typically white chalk on the plugs isnt it? I'm not all that carb saavy but still think you could honestly use fresh fuel, more seafoam, a clean, and rejet.
  19. I'm interested to see if your Monster drink can will pass tech as a suitable coolant reservoir I see a stock basin being reinstalled in your near future sir
  20. Thanks for the vote of confidence.....and although I applaud your enthusiasm in my abilities, I've yet to truly experience all that my bike's capable of Best mine was EVER dyno'd was just under 193hp @ 114tq, and that was freshly after Brocks system and tune was installed as well as running race fuel on Brocks drag map. Your bike "can" beat those numbers by quite a bit, and your working knowledge at the strip is beyond mine.....not to mention the 100 pounds I probably have on you. I have yet to launch mine on a 1/4 mile with it strapped/lowered, but the mile is something I can handle without having to worry about redlighting or getting off the clutch as perfectly.....mile is mainly get away smoothly, maintain good body position, and shift cleanly throughout. Would be great for us both to run Wilmington, I would enjoy seeing just how close the speeds/times are
