  1. Yes sir, but not until next season. Just went last weekend to spectate and do a little homework on what I'll need to get in order beforehand. I've got the LSR chainguard, rear lowering links installed, drag map loaded in my PC3( to run their fuel ), and a couple rear sprockets to play with gearing. All I need to buy is a radial mount strap kit for the front end and pickup some 5w syn engine oil and the bike will be ready
  2. That's one hell of an offer, and I will probably take you up on that! I've just got new tires mounted on these last night so it will be a while next season before I burn those up, but I'm hoping a couple trackdays and some mile runs will do them in pretty quick so I can get them to you
  3. Thanks man, that's the stuff I'm looking for then. I'll look into this
  4. Beginning of the year I bought a set of new take-off OEM wheels for my ZX14 to mount track tires and make swaps between them and street 2ct's much easier, plus its just nice to have spares readily available. Well, the rear wheel has some nasty, sharp, little gouges in it from where the po's tire machine's clamps slipped while removing the OE tires. Cant go back on the seller as they were purchased "as is" so its not a huge issue, I'm just wanting them smooth and clean again so I can wipe them down without shredding rags or a finger. My question is what to use as a filler after I sand out the gathered aluminum thats piled at the edge of the gouges? The marks are maybe 1/8" deep and about 1/2" long. Not sure what temps PC gets baked on so whatever is used would have to tolerate that process. Guess the PC company could enlighten me on this but I was looking to do the prep work myself to save extra expense on having them redone. Thanx for any advice in advance!
  5. Threads a year old fellas
  6. Yes, just hook it up and leave it on until you get the bike back out next year. Battery Tenders maintain the battery's full charge and the manual also states it varies the output to constantly keep the V's/A's at optimal level. Some smart chargers will actually put a small load on the battery to keep the charge memory tiptop too. Do your last oil change and run it a bit just before you put the bike up, so the engine internals aren't sitting in an acid bath all winter.....then come next Spring, unplug it, check tire pressure, hop on and go!
  7. Huge balls on both these guys, but I have to give the old man bigger props for doing this over 50 yrs ago. With the space age just becoming back then, it was surely more of a leap of faith vs. todays knowledge and materials available. But either way, both of these guys have 10 ton granite gonads
  8. So someone breaks into your garage and the only thing of value they take is a little girl's pink bike? That is one dumbass crook, and with decisions like that, I doubt he'll live long enough to become any good at it. I hope you find it for your kid's sake. Hate thieves with a passion, but some theives just sort of make you laugh in their poor choice of target Good luck in finding him!
  9. Not sure if you'll make the hourly wage you posted to start as a parts driver, at least not in our industry. We pay drivers $10/hr to start, sad I know but the competition isn't paying much more if any more than that. Just FYI man
  10. Driver job as in Class A, B, or C CDL? Or parts delivery driver?
  11. He told me it sounds louder and deeper than before the chop/repack, sorry but I cant remember what brand rearsets he told me they were. The bike is setup really well overall, especially after he replaced the powerplant ( binding trans issue ) and the high mount ex system. PO was a track guy and had installed a Penske rear shock and Ohlins fork kits, but Oldschool put some love into the bike and its definitely a far better specimen now
  12. It looked too long for its diameter to me too the first time I saw it, but his chop and paint work make it look TONS better. I cant wait to hear it! And I'd think the grill paint would hold up to the heat since they're usually tolerable to temps upwards of 1000 degrees or more right? So if your pipe gets that hot, you got bigger issues! Looks much better man! Good work!!
  13. 69! the only price that gives back I know Zeibart in Troy sucks too. We have had bad luck with them on our work trucks. Rhino Lining doesnt last but a season or two, undercoat isnt as good as they boast unless you take it back EVERY year for touch-ups, pricing is pretty high too. I'd like to get a new sunroof pane for the wifes car and get both our vehicles windows tinted a little, but nobody local to us does good AND cheap work that I know of
  14. You could also use red Hi-Tack gasket adhesive. It sprays on and tacks up when it cures, similar to the hylomar sealer mentioned above, but being a spray on may make it easier to apply and in thinner coats. We use it to station head gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, water jacket plate gaskets, fuel pump seals, water pump gaskets, oil pan gaskets, etc on diesels as well as other various around most lubricant/coolant/fuel exposed surfaces. Not sure about steering fluid or ATF's but would be fine against petroleum based fuels. Use it liberally on threaded fittings when teflon tape or pipe sealant wont do. It's resistant to most any fluid inside of an engine and doesn't harden either. Stuffs cheap, think we sell it at $4 a can
  15. Wanting a record turnout too, be cool to meet a lot more of the people we share experiences and bs with here. Next year I vote for September in better hopes of warmer, drier weather!

  25. This may help some folks here - my old YZF supposedly had the same issue but the po that sold it to me had already installed one. http://www.factorypro.com/products/Factory_Pro_shift.html
