  1. It's a vane-type intake/exhaust system that would probably pull air from one side and exhaust it on the other? Not exactly sure, haven't read that much about it on their site but I'm under the assumption that's how it would work No valvetrain so no timing belt/chain completely gear driven for bigger wallet woe's later
  2. Stoner was right at home on the Repsol last season but with the powerplant changes, hopefully it levels the field even more......but ya just never know, especially when he's feeling comfy with the setup/track. Spies definitely has winning in him, but I think finding HIS setup is/was his biggest problem - he's surely got a better platform with the Factory team over Tech3's bike and last season seemed proof of that.....I'd wager a little more R&D work would get him on the podium more often, if not some wins.......especially with how well they've already performed in testing the new bike. Ultimately, I'm rootin' for Ben - I've watched him come up since he was in AMA 750SS back in '00 And I really hope Duc's chassis change will prove to be a good idea......they definitely need to get back up front again too.
  3. This is a GOOD price - Chris, I'll mention this to my boss buddy at work since he still hasnt bought one - he has been looking, he's just tight on cash for a new suit - hard to beat $100 + shipping
  4. Copied wrong url, fixed.......and thanx Imprez
  5. Possible repost, but I dont care......these things dont happen often http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaOVNqA7lBA
  6. Due to it's unweighted spooling capacity, an engine like this could spin up to 20k-30k rpm in no time flat - the intake/exhaust systems look as if derived from variable-geometry turbo's with actuated vane inlets and outlets.....mmmm, sort of rotary engine like. I'm assuming these would be high maintenance powerplants. Still, be interesting to see the capabilities of both output and longevity. 2 cyl. version in a sportbike would be a sweet concept to see prototyped, and aircraft would love this thing! Lighter and more powerful would make it less demanding on "lift" and turn an average Cessna into an acrobat:D:D:D
  7. Nice, your saving some decent money that way - we spend $150 on a pair of tix
  8. Not in the market but this isnt a bad little amp - 15watts of tube power is pretty juicy tone in that single 12" and sounds good in the video ( guitarist's influence aside:D). Just aren't happy playing anymore? That sucks man, I plan on playing until arthritis or carpel tunnel makes me a quitter - glws!
  9. Hate to keep threadjackin, but check these out - may be an easier way to go? http://www.sportutilitytrailers.com/accessories/TS76M_motorcycle_rail.htm http://m.northerntool.com/northerntool/product/detail.do?itemId=365405
  10. I find waiving is typically a mood related habit:D
  11. Horrible to hear - RIP riders, and deepest condolences to respective family and friends
  12. Prices on GPR and Ohlins steering damper kits for '08 ZX14 - thanx man!
  13. Damn, well I've got a complete FMF PowerCore II I'd be willing to part with but it's for dirt -- have you tried their website or local dealers?
  14. Is this for your Buell or a dirtbike?
  15. That's a decent little tugaround - are there side fences or rails for it too?
  16. 8" might be a little drastic ( especially on price ) but I'd think that 6" would work since the tires profile rolls up, but without a 190 tire and a tapemeasure handy I'm not sure -- If you want to build a trailer, it's going to be hard to beat framing a rectangle floor with 2" angle iron and spot weldin' in sheets of perforated steel -- probably be the the cheapest route overall? Metal fab guys would know more obviously, but I'm just trying to think logically ( I know, logic doesn't apply here! )
  17. west sider! And good lookin ceeber!
  18. Not at all.......I've bought 20ft sections of 4" at work for less than half that - I'm sure the grade of steel varies the price quite a bit - just standard cold roll would work fine but you would want to prep/paint immediately after its cut and welded to your frame - cheap stuff will rust FAST EDIT - correction, thinking it was carbon steel ( not sure if cold drawn or hot roll ) but you will have to call more than likely - none of our local steel suppliers post pricing online - cheaper yet, you can ask for "drops" over certain lengths where they had leftovers from cutting other orders......that would be the cheapest route and easiest to handle
  19. Good for you man, about time somebody got a deal there - they've been sticking it to folks for too long:D
  20. Looks like channel iron, maybe 5" or 6" - can buy it in precut lengths or by the foot - check local steel yards and they should have it - but if you build one, at least put some suspension under it. I would think the guy that built the trailer in the CL ad would have faired a better design if he'd sprung the axle and mounted it with the drop pointing up......that thing is so low, you be scraping bottom on a poorly placed manhole cover:D
  21. Whoa! That trailer is rigid!! Solid axle directly to frame?? Can you imagine the hop that thing would get with a tire out of balance?! No way I'd strap my bike to that and drag it around.... EDIT - meant the CL ad, not yours Coot
  22. Checked out your build thread on 600RR.net - judging from the pic at the dealership, looks like Honda Powersports in Troy.....they've had that silver CBR XX for a while now - is that where you got it? Btw, love the color scheme!
  23. I'm definitely down for a ride or 10:D See you at the meet-n-greet
  24. Awesome, he's a hell of a nice guy as well as an accomplished rider......be cool to get him as a sponsor here too!
