  1. Ha! I be fast for a big fella!
  2. I used a resin based epoxy called Plastex - its a 2 part you mix and apply sort of like bondo. Its more for abs resin body panel repairs so not sure it would work on your headlamp bucket, pretty sure those are more of a nylon based plastic. Epoxy may work better if you "rough up" a section larger than where its broken and sort of build it up around the tab........you may still have trouble though since there's some tension pulling on it from the piece mounting to it. Worth checking into since it is a more forgiving product than epoxy. http://plastex.net
  3. Thanx guys, I found the leather rental price on midohio's website but after looking again, I don't see it - swear it said $75 but not sure where I found that info......here's a copy/paste of the requirements ( but this is under performance track riding on MO's site ) Bike Preparation All bikes MUST pass technical inspection prior to admittance to the track. If your bike DOES NOT pass tech inspection, you will NOT receive a refund. Tires and brakes must be in good condition. Tires should be at least 75 percent of new condition. Any tires that are bluing from excessive wear will be disallowed. Slicks are allowed in 85 percent plus condition. We will have on site tire service at each track day, so if your tires don't pass, you will have the opportunity to purchase replacement tires to pass tech. All glass, headlight, turn signals, and plastic lenses must be taped over or removed. Side mirrors must be removed for the advanced group and at least taped over for all other groups. We recommend, but do not require removal of center stands. No bikes with center stands will be allowed in the Advanced/Racer Group due to the ground clearance issue. All machines must have an operational handlebar mounted kill switch/button and self-closing throttle in good working condition. Advanced and Intermediate group riders MUST use water or water wetter or a non-ethyl glycol based anti-freeze/coolant. Approved Poly Glycol brands are: Evans, 7th Gear, Liquid Performance, and Engine Ice. NO AUTOMOTIVE ETHYL GLYCOL BASED COOLANTS ARE ALLOWED. It is recommended that Advanced and Intermediate riders safety wire drain plugs and oil fill caps. Minimum requirement is RTV silicone on both. We highly suggest securing the oil filter as well. All valve stems must have caps. Wheel balance weights must be well-secured. License plates must have bolts taped or be removed
  4. That's a lot cheaper than MO states on their website - they've got leather rental marked at $75 for trackdays? Shouldn't matter since I'm working to get back into mine......soon enough anyway:D Correct me if I'm wrong but this is what I've gathered about trackday bike prep..... NOVICE - no need to safety wire anything, but brakes/tires/lines/hoses must be in good shape (60%-70% life left ) all lenses/glass completely taped, and track approved coolant is required? INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED - Must safety wire oil filter/drain lug/axle nuts/caliper bolts, all brakes/tires/lines/hoses must be in good shape (60%-70% life left) all lenses/glass completely taped, and track approved coolant is required? Is this it for bike prep? Obviously other than leathers ( 1-pc, or zip together 2-pc), "track quality" boots, and a DOT lid?
  5. Damnit! Falsely advertised!! :D Looked like a good show anyway according to the pics on the other thread.
  6. Lock this up - bike is sold......Thanx Matt!! Hope you get her living and breathing again!
  7. This could be an option next year for sure, would love to meet more OR folk especially at the races where the atmosphere is at its peak! Really want a toy hauler/camper so we can drag both bikes (shortbed Toyota doesnt carry more than a single) AND have comfy living quarters - win win!! So where do the majority of you hang out? Mainly stick around the campground side at the back straight/esses/thunder valley? Or is there another section of camping I'm not aware of? We walked damn near the whole complex last year checking out different vantage points, and we found the toprail of the grandstands and the top of the hill at the backstraight/esses under the trees were 2 of the best areas to see the most action
  8. Whoa......not sure I'd broadcast that lil tidbit.....unless it was a dinghy:D

    The Grey

I saw a quick excerpt about the -20 degree temps on the first few days of shooting, Liam said he didnt think they were even going to be able to finish the outdoor segments. Wondering if its any good myself, but havent sought out any reviews on it - Usually just wait for MOD or even HBO anymore, not a fan of theatre's and their prices
  10. Cant elaborate on the Shoei, AGV, or any of the helmets you've mentioned The wife and I currently have KBC's and the fitment is good as well as the quality, but we are overdue for upgrades so now I'm looking at Star series Bell's - heard good things and they look absolutely stellar......plus, our heads are worth it:D Good luck narrowing your search!
  11. 1) The little half-naked, loudmouthed guitarist thats getting away with being an obvious disruption 2) The incestual "uncle-ped" in the background preparing to give said youngster some illegal 'at right 3) The fact I have absolutely no clue whats being said in the upper right corner.....is it pig-latin? Or just written upsidedown? I just find this pic frothin' for a whimsical caption but cant seem to muster one......any help?
