  1. XDM40 from my wife, some giftcards and cash from family, then the gift to myself was taking out my stitches ( a little early ) Christmas eve so I could get back behind my guitars again
  2. :welcome: Hope to see ya at the track someday next season - planning on a couple trips to MO
  3. Damn! So JackDaniels should hold up 4 of those dumbells?

  5. I understand man, no problem - just tryin' to hook a brutha up, although.....
  6. Nah, she really did clean the GUN when we got it home and I was fine with that since its good she can now break it down and reassemble properly - plus, I didnt have to do it with a gimp digit:D But now that you mention it.......she cleans my little gun sometimes too
  7. Not THAT bad, but the doc was checkin out the interior of my finger bone and knuckle before he sewed me up......so here it is, you asked for it
  8. Uhhh......no sisters, and her cousins are all taken.......but, she has a brother we can set you up with - however, you'd have to convert him to "pole"ism as he's currently hetero;)
  9. Finally got the eliminator installed, assembled the solo cowl, and put the tail back together - I still havent got it wired but its all routed and waiting for me to apply some more free time - I was getting anxious waiting to get these damn stitches out, so tonight I wanted it together in case I dont get another chance before the cold weather comes back. I will spare you all pics of the wound, but here's the bike's new look......small change but she digs it and thats what matters most
  10. I know this feeling all to well right now, looking to dump every bit of extra money into mine this winter/spring - badly needs a furnace/ac replacement and having our basement waterproofed too so my bank account will be totalled after this. Had really, really, wanted this but now it's looking grim for me with these new developments so GLWS!
  11. Cool vids Nick, glad ya posted 'em bro......drink up!

Thats nothing for typical mileage on a "ridden" '07 - they must be used to getting garage queen trades or something? Sucks though, wish it would've happened - maybe you'll get lucky and find a leftover '12 sometime later next year or early '13

    out of gas

Me too, usually grab fuel when everyone else does and I always use one of my trips for fuel and the other for oil services - that way if my fuel gauge fails, I've still got an estimate of how much is left in her;)
  14. I'd definitely look into a valvetrain adjustment and new tensioner/guides if it was used for stunting, those guys love their rev limiters! Tanks were typically caved in on top for a better seat for their butt or to stand on -

DAMNIT! Greedy ass dealers and their "profit margins"......didn't you carry a gun in with you? Well, I'm sure you're not happy about it either but I'd really like to see someone in the market grab one of these up
  16. Exactly -- and it's hard to believe that Slayer's guitarists are both self-taught until they bust out solo's! Then it shows a bit I used to play several tracks from Reigning Blood, but that was over a decade ago - Now with 2 bands, I'm so focused on writing original material that we don't do any covers from other well-knowns.......but I do miss that from time to time and crowds typically ALWAYS dig hearing something common too, so it's suggested occasionally but we never go much further than that. Maybe the day will come when we'll slam out some good ol' down home metal for the masses from the likes of Slayer, Pantera, Sepultura, Anthrax, etc
  17. I've no doubt there's quite a bit of equipment needed as well as the mentality enough to run it all, had a couple ex-bandmates that were into this type of thing years ago when all was available were samplers, drum machines, and keyboard synths -- now with todays computer age, this sort of music production can be done in a bedroom where everything is ran line direct instead of mic'd -- but still most of what they're doing is copy/paste or generating sounds from a digital synth of some sort, which takes little actual talent to use, but it does take brain strength to understand how it all works together and make music tasteful to the ear.......I guess I'm more biased against this type of music since it takes years to develop skillsets behind an instrument, whereas this type of music can be "built" relatively quickly if that makes sense?
  18. Sweet sweets! Happy Birthday Rico
  19. ^^ No doubt - I appreciate most every genre ( to some extent ) with the only exception being country and dubstep/electronic. There's few and far country artists that I can tolerate at all, most of their material are sad versions of being left behind by their past loves, comedic stories of alcoholism, or losing everthing to another vice of some sort -- but those few I can stand are typically southern rock. Dubstep and electronicas ( imo ) are virtually talentless samples all pasted together with little to no skill behind an actual instrument of any kind......somebody should've bought these folks guitars or drumkits to develop some real skill in music making. I'm a metalhead by choice, not because I cannot play anything else - it's a personal choice, period. The level of skill/talent it takes to write/perform fast-tempo'd metal slam sessions are above all when it comes to true musicianship.......not saying there aren't talented country musicians, because there are - Vince Gill, Chet Atkins, and the like are surely worthy of their riches in the industry.......but there's not nearly as many GOOD country artists as there should be considering the size of the genre itself. Upsetting to see so much money invested into a particular scene when the awesomely talented get pushed to the back of the bus.
