  1. Then its got to be elec's somewhere - you need to find a .pdf manual to help you with testing proceedures on the rectifier cdi
  2. You got a multimeter to check voltage/amperage? That would tell you if the battery's your culprit - '01 TT is injected? Not sure, dont know Triumphs - check your tank vent? If its clogged, your tank will build vaccuum and starve the system.
  3. WTF?!?! That's got to be a photochop right?? *sniff* *sniff*......you smell that?......lawsuit
  4. No idiocy to apologize for, sometimes it just takes thinking out loud to discover the problem........glad it's sorted out!!
  5. so was the fuse bad? I'm assuming if it's wired like the OEM lamp (other than being integrated), there's probably just one fuse feeding it - if the fuse is good and neither brake switch actuates the lamp, could be bad spot/connection in the wiring or bad lamp? I would test the lamp if the fuse isn't the culprit
  6. Well there ya go! blown tire = excuse for a sumo conversion!!
  7. Good to hear you're ok, could've been way worse for you - bikes are replaceable

    MSF class

Trackdays definitely teach you a lot about your riding skillset and your bike's capabilities - my next wish is to attend track schools where you're taught better controlling techniques with braking/accelerating zones, proper body positioning in/thru/out of turns, raceline effects, and all within the best possible environment to learn.......I figure the better I am at the track, the better my streetskills will ultimately become - experience tends to come in handy when certain moments call for extra expertise right? I'd take him up on the offer and get more aquainted with your machine!!

    MSF class

I took the advanced rider course the same wkend my wife was doing the beginner class - advanced rider course was only 5 hours or so, where the beginner course is 3 days - friday in class, sat/sun on the bikes. I learned some low speed manuevering techniques that I wasn't familiar with and another perk was the nominal $25 course fee but a $50 insurance kickback......so u basically get paid to be there, but its good to take as a learning tool - seems everyone that attended that wkend left with more skills and info.
  10. I cant wait to try several of these out but just comparing a bunch online, my opinion is still XDM biased - its a good looking weapon too!
  11. I've noticed how much thinner they are, and dont think thats what I'm after - newer M seems good with the extra width and good fit lengthwise - never held a standard XD but will look at those in comparison as well. The extra capacity intrigued too me since it's just good use of the extra grip length/width
  12. I gotta work til 4pm monday and then off to the ball fields for my daughters softball game......again.......be glad when softball season is over!! Can hardly get any seat time other than work and back
  13. don't forget the chrome spiked bar ends and chrome spiked fork caps to guarantee impalement in a crash!! And nothing looks better with anodized valve stem caps than a chrome chain guard

Monday after work I'm back at the ballfields by 6pm.......daughter's first 4 games were rained out and we've got 2 more to make up yet. But her last playoff game will be July 15th and then tournaments are the week following -- I'm proud that her team's not losing, but the more they win the more they play and that means less time for me to play.......double-edged sword!!
  15. If the bike's rideable, pick up some new plugs and dose up with some fresh new fuel then ride it to Hoblick's if he's available to work on it for ya -- plugs are a simple job but like mentioned earlier, they can be a bitch to get to -- good luck man!!
  16. Why THINK about buying one? JUST DO IT! .....this message sponsored by Nike......
